Even applicants who pass extensive background investigations can ultimately be rejected for reasons that are not explained and for which there is no appeal. Moreover, if you get turned down, that fact alone can be used against you in unrelated matters. And just so you know, if you are an average upstanding American citizen with a clean record seeking a ‘concealed carry’ permit, your chances are zero to none.

Not surprisingly, cops and criminals possess the majority of handguns here in Fun City. Permits are carefully meted out to...

I think the mafia has taken over lots of legislatures and these gun control bills are full employment bills for criminals.

Cor-rect:

The Sullivan Law was passed by criminal bosses in NY State legislature to protect their gangs in NY City from their targeted next armed victims. True- look it up.

Exactly. After the dog ate my homework, he ate my gun too.

I sold all mine to patriots through the “gun show loophole,” and they were scary guns, too.

The libs sure played their hand these past few months. People saw liberal naked aggression against guns and all things conservative.

Maryland is no better than New York.

In Maryland you have to apply to the State police and kiss their butts. While in the kissing process you have to come up with a reason for wanting the gun. Self-defense is not considered a reason.

Same in New Jersey. If you are not politically RAT connected or in law enforcement, no go.

If you are found in possession of a firearm here, no matter how legal or vetted you or your weapons are elsewhere, you will find yourself face down sucking concrete. You will be charged with felony gun possession and looking at the possibility of serving 3 to 5 hard time.

I used to enjoy visiting New York, but that was quite a few years ago. You couldn't pay me to take a vacation there now: I don't ever do business with anti-Second Amendment bigots.

Being a resident of Texas, I can hardly even imagine such brutality for the mere fact of possessing a firearm. That penalty is no different than locking someone up for possessing a mouth.

As far back as I can remember, I've never had any affinity for New York City, and have never had the slightest desire to visit there. After reading that, I just shake my head and add another line to the list of reasons why.

I'll amen that. My last visit to New York City was in the 1970s. I will never go there again, neither will I patronage any business in a state in which I cannot carry. Screw 'em.
