Very well-performed and moving ceremonies, for which the British are justly famous. I noticed the American granddaughter of Margaret Thatcher, unlike the other ladies (British no doubt) did not curtsy to the queen upon meeting her on the steps of the cathedral, but she and her brother were totally respectful in their attitude.

A Brit here. For the first time in a long time I was proud of my country today. There were a few lefty vermin hollering the usual mindless abuse, but they were a tiny minority. But the Brits came out and gave The Lady the send off she deserved. I was also really touched to see the part played by her American grandchildren and particularly Amanda Thatcher who read wonderfully. Well done Britain and rest well Lady Thatcher.

You're welcome. The only thing that I have heard of being thrown were flowers (in the road in front of the procession). I watched the whole procession and saw nothing else thrown.

There was some talk yesterday that some "protestors" (that is to say, vermin) were planning to throw coal and eggs at the coffin but that did not occur (I'm sure there are some who would have done that but they weren't given the opportunity).

No more offical events (I expect there will be memorial services but I'm not sure when or where). There've been a few localised scumbag things here and there. Nothing worthy of mention though.

This one amused. It's a scumbag protest outside the shop which Lady Thatcher's father owned (and above which they lived) during her childhood. As you can see, there was a massive turnout.
