That rotund face above is the mug of former NJ DEP head Lisa Jackson, who recently stepped down from her role in Obamaland as head of the the EPA. No government bureau is as unashamedly dedicated to the destruction of economic growth as the EPA, and Ms. Jackson's deluded tenure in NJ showed her to be a perfect candidate to run a group like that. she hates commerce. As far as she's concerned, good things come exclusively from government and business - even a lefty friendly business like Apple - is evil.
Plus, she doesn't know the first thing about the concept in the private sector known as 'deliverables'.
The sycophant-journalists are already out in force for this hire. But the fact they would consider a useless Democrat insider like Jackson says that Apple has turned a corner. they no longer want to run a company. Now they want to run to Washington. They are looking to become the GM of the technology world. Next Steve Rattner will be running things over there.
this change to their corporate culture is not a good thing. Sell it.
If I believed in shorting stocks, I would short Apple. For a lot of reasons, not the least of which is the one you mentioned.
Earth to Apple: No one in the Obamadork administration has the IQ to become a janitor at your establishment....let alone an engineer. Admitting inferior government critters to your building will cause harm...they are cancer, slime, pollution, and sh*t rolled into one smelly, stinky Obamalike ball.
Please do not slime yourselves by having one of their low IQ underachieving lib arts majors pollute your technical environment.

Boards of Directors are pretty much a joke. If she isn’t a major shareholder it’s just a patronage position for her.
The dems are after them on taxes so they throw her a plum in an effort to make nice.

Apple is no more lefty than Microsoft. Perhaps even less so, when one looks at what Bill Gates does with his money.
That said, when anyone from the Obama administration suggests anything...ANYTHING...I am immediately inclined to do the EXACT opposite.
I see this as pandering. The only thing that makes me feel that I am not soiling myself by using Apple products is that Rush Limbaugh uses them.
My wife just came in and made a comment about an article she saw about making a Ben and Jerry’s float using Sam Adams beer.
Apart from the complete disgusting concept, seems like a desecration of Sam Adams beer by mixing Ben and Jerry’s into it.
Bah.
My thoughts exactly. That should be an embarrassment, but somehow, it isn’t to them.
