Not my idea, guy called into radio show with the idea, does solve the whole argument in 2 seconds.

I have been attempting to get this idea to the WRS for a couple of months.
Seems they are not interested and may try to ride out the ever increasing wave of PC crappola!
It solves the issue and pokes the fricken liberal in the eye at the same time.

The potato reference name is a mash up, is it not? At any rate the imbroglio does get pretty heated and tempers to boiling. And in reality folks should just simmer. I think the new mascot needs to stew a while before the old connotation is peeled away. They can whip this thing.

This controversy reared it’s ugly head 20-odd years ago. Someone claiming to be a “Native-American activist” called Dennis Praeger’s show and asked him how he would like it if there were a team called the Texas Jewboys? Praeger responded saying he would be overjoyed, after 5000 years FINALLY someone would be cheering for us. I was ROTFLMAO!
