About a month and a half ago from this writing I actually had a friend give an me admonition that defending my conservative views (they said "Republican," which shows you how much they actually know about politics) would cost me lots of friends on my social networks.
I basically responded with what the graphic below says. Their response?...Crickets.
A friend I had for years—dropped me when she discovered I supported SOME (not all) of the goals of the Tea Party. It was as if I had joined the KKK and been elected Kleegle by them. I was called a racist, homophobe, and a Nazi. But, after much though and hurt feelings—I believe I am better off without such narrow minded bigotted friends.
Interesting. Maybe it’s the friends you have on Facebook. My group is about 50/50 liberal and conservative. The liberal ones sometimes get on my last nerve, but I’m sure I get on theirs. And I try to keep the political as salt in the conversation, not the whole meal.
You had it right the first time. “It’s” is a contraction of “It has”. Carry on :)
Out of my hundreds of friends/relatives on FB, one was a liberal. She unfriended me because she said I was being critical of her president. I have not missed her. Some of the others are more conservative than I am. They really know how to post conservative news, too. I am careful about my choice of friends on there. I sure do not need liberals on my list.
My checker changes were to we’re. I do know what word I want to use.
Speculative possibility: she drank raw milk from an organic cow. Raw milk is much better nutritionally and digestively than the store-shelved pasteurized/homogenized white stuff, but it's also a very good tuberculin bacterium carrier, so unless the cow is kept squeaky clean inside and out, drinking the raw stuff puts one at risk for TB.

I didn't know that and to my knowledge all she knows is they don't know where she got it, they didn't suggest any source it could have been. I don't know if she drinks raw milk at her house but I don't think she does. I'll find out from someone who used to live with her. She drank regular milk at my house with her cereal at night.
I've become suspect in general of “fresh” veggies at the grocery. I'm trying to grow my own now. I'll know no one has touched them except me (no one with germs on hands touching them) and they have no chemicals sprayed on them and they haven't been in trucks forever to get to the grocery. I want my own tomatoes, not someone else’s, my own lettuce and every other veggie I grow.
My darling 18 year old daughter use to keep quiet when politics were the subject. We live in small town USA but still a large gimme crowd. Now she attends UW-Milwaukee and proudly wears her “Raised Right” t-shirt.
That’s why gardening is good, because at our grocery the produce is good but you can easily spend $15-20 on that alone.
My brother-in-law a staunch Liberal who voted for Obama has a gay daughter to which he isn't happy about. He lives in Brooklyn and I live in Florida we haven't spoken to each other in years I just got tired of trying to show him the way but according to my wife (his sister) he now is starting to maybe see the light. Will wait for him to make the first move towards reconciliation if that is possible. wont hold my breath.
They will exhaust ones mind and spirit, and are never satisfied with their life. They take up causes because it gives them a purpose, not because the purpose is worthy, but because they believe they are worthy. Just like a chicken they appear to peck at the first draw of blood.
Every encounter, whether it be with a family member, extended included, or a supposed friend or acquaintance, a liberal always takes far more than they ever give. They are calculating brown nose-rs and know intutitatively who is the person they will attach themselves for self gratification claiming the overall good. And they look in a mirror and do not see reality, but vanity of self importance. They are the parasites of humanity.
More caffeine is always the answer, and it doesn’t matter what the question is. More caffeine plus chocolate is even better!
Lost my best friend and best man after he sent my son a book claiming Obama was the next Lincoln. Told him not to send political books to my son and he said we didn’t need to be friends anymore.
He had no idea where his boundries were so it was fine.
