Introducing the Gillette OctoBlade ...
So sick of the multi-blade BS and the high cost, I decided to return to "old faithful." Only problem is they run about $25 now - yikes!

True, but blades are dirt cheap. I bought my Merkur last October and I have enough blades to get me through November just from a sampler pack I ordered online for about $10. Much cheaper than buying packs of cartridges, quality of the shave is about the same for me too.

I bought a double edge razor like that a while ago. Best shave I’ve ever had. Yes, there was some up front cost for the razor (Merkur 34-c HD) but the razors are only pennies apiece. Also got a shave brush and Proraso shave soap. Top off with some real bay rum after shave. I actually enjoy my shave now!

A standard disposable razor will last 3 months or more provided that you clean it and dry it after each use.

High end disposable razors are for chumps.

I for one would welcome definitive proof when my wife shaves her legs with my razor.

Send me a quick message so I can barge in and say ‘Ah Ha! Caught you.”

Yeah...they (Rite-Aid) had those for 19.99...
i think the Shavers (of America ;) are reverting
back to the single blade safety razor.
so much simpler/easier cleaning/no clog..
*insert Monty Python skit (bloody piano skit ;) here*

Reminds me of the flex-handle toothbrush. Like we can’t figure out how to use our wrist anymore.

I converted to old school...

Bought that exact razor for about $25...

Bought a badger shaving brush with shaving soap mug for $ 29 and 100 razors for $10.00

My investment was about $65 for a YEAR or more worth of shaving supplies...About a dollar a week...!!!

Best shave of my life...too

Best shave I’ve ever had

Ditto that...

I have a very heavy beard...

My five o'clock shadow has a five o'clock shadow...

I really hated shaving every morning because even the best disposable razor really didn't work that well...

I was really shocked how close and clean shaven I got when I used a double edge razor with the shaving soap...

No more getting shaving cream on my hands, the shaving soap really is different than shaving cream in getting the beard softened up...

I’ve gone back to the two sided razor people used up until Gillette came out with the Trac thingie. Works better but you can really skin yourself as you get used to the proper motion.

So give up the daily shave and make like a real man.
A short beard keeps the face cool in the summer and a longer beard keeps you warm in the winter.
Shaving is for girly men.
I make one exception and that would be those who may need to wear a gas mask.

New fangled trash. A real man uses steel. I use this with every shave and only cut myself on rate occasions. Keep it honed and your beard moist - or else!
