After speaking to an eyewitness of the Michael Brown shooting on CNN last night, Don Lemon used his regular appearance on the Tom Joyner Morning Show to issue a statement he said he wanted everyone to hear, but “especially white folks.”
“It has been almost a week since unarmed teenager Michael Brown was shot dead by a police officer in the St. Louis suburb of Ferguson, and still there no answers,” Lemon began. He tried to make that point that racial attitudes in Ferguson, Missouri and elsewhere in this country helped provide the environment that led to Brown’s death.
“We need to address the fact that in Ferguson, Missouri black drivers and people are stopped more often than whites even though the whites who are stopped are more often carrying illegal contraband,” he said. “We need to address the fact that Ferguson, Missouri is not an outlier.”
“We need to address the fact while we don’t know exactly what went down between Brown and the officer that many people in this country are more likely to give the officer the benefit of the doubt rather than an unarmed black teenager,” he continued, saying many white people will assume that Brown was doing something wrong when he was killed.
“We need to address the fact that many white people in this country refuse to even allow the possibility that there is a double standard when it comes to the way black men are perceived and treated in American society on a daily basis, on the street, at work, at the grocery store, at the mall, everywhere,” Lemon said, before invoking President Barack Obama’s “My Brother’s Keeper” initiative, which he said isn’t just for black men to help other black men but for all people to help black men.
“It’s time for the white people who are in willful denial to break the cycle and become their black brother’s keeper,” he concluded.

Bullshit! Whites don’t riot when blacks kill whites. Innocent or not. I believe firmly that Ferguson police are not giving the name of the officer out, because they KNOW it is a Zimmerman scenario. There is no winning with these people. I have heard that the kid beat the cop up, before he was shot, there are already pictures of the kid flashing gang signs. I just don’t see a cop grabbing a kid for no reason, and gunning him down. That’s the story the media is spinning. BULLSHIT!!!!!!!
This is all more destabilization, more chaos, more division and hate. To destabilize America. It’s all planned.
I’d be a little more sympathetic if these “peaceful protests” didn’t involve looting and burning.
And where are the protests when White people are assaulted or killed by Blacks?

You can firmly believe its a Zimmerman scenario but it doesnt sound like it and Zimmerman didnt unload 8 rounds into him from 35 feet away.

I could go on and on but the double standards about all of this is ignorance or denial.
Where is the media outrage when whites are affected by other races in crime?
How about the left stop splitting people by race by their programs, TV, quotas etc and look at Americans as Americans.

It is a Zimmerman scenario. We have the media inciting riots. All I hear is he was gunned down. We don’t know that, we don’t know jack, and never will. Point is, instead of demanding an investigation, the black community in this town started a violent blood thirsty mob. Shooting at helicopters, throwing bricks and molotovs at officers. Trying to provoke officers to shoot, burning down businesses, looting.
If the name comes out, the guy will be killed. His house likely burnt to the ground, his family possibly beaten or raped, maybe even killed. How is that for justice? It isn’t. Why are so many here supporting violent mobs?
The officer that did the shooting may or may not have had a good reason. Who knows what happened, except what the media tells us and I have no reason to believe any of it. But a violent mob isn’t going to solve the problem. The police response is appropriate. Would you allow an angry violent mob to run rampant, start fires, and throw molotov cocktails at cops in your city? If yes, then go join up and view the hatred first hand. There is no justice in this.
