Institutionalized racism in education? How do you draw a face that conveys "flabbergasted?"

So I'm galavanting around Tumblr and I came across this post:

angrysomali:

Next time you wanna call me a reverse racist for calling White people out on their bull****: just look at this and tell me what it means. Institutionalized racism.

Wtf is this s**t

My response:

Hey! Let's assume a white person made this, because that's not prejudiced at all!

If the page is really that upsetting, fine...here, it's page is fixed now...

And don't give me any crap about how it's not fixed because the black girl is now proud the dog ate her homework...Look, it was RACIST for her to be ANGRY about it, and we're talking about emotions here, not logic, the blockquotes above made sure of that.

Maybe it's crazy to say this...but MAYBE it's more coincidental than anything else. Every emotion here has context to it, it's not like the illustration of kids don't have props to explain WHY they would feel the way they do.

The stereotypes are arguably irrational and based on the assumption of irrational behavior. That's not what is being illustrated here.

Education has become one of the most liberal institutions in America (if not the most). The notion this was intentional or trying to send a message, with no evidence to substantiate the charge, is a little irresponsible.

And I better N-E-V-E-R hear that popping doesn't make anyone happy...

I'm bracing for impact...this will not be well received by the author or their supporters, but it's the truth.

If you prick us, do we not bleed?
if you tickle us, do we not laugh? if you poison
us, do we not die? and if you eat our homework do we not get angry?

If the races and emotions were decided using a coin flip, this is but 1 of 4 results. 25% it isn’t unreasonable.

However, the issue would then become: “Well it was a white coin”.

This brings up another question that has always bugged me.

Are flabbers being gasted or are gasts being flabberred?

There is no way to win this battle. Critical Race Theory (CRT) says that because we are born “white” and not “black”, we are part of the privileged “white” establishment that is inherently racist.

I know...that’s the convenient beauty of CRT.
