I said all along I hoped McConnell would be defeated in KY for just this reason. I believed that there would be a majority without McConnell, and if his loss cost Republicans the Senate, there would really be no damage to conservatism from that. McConnell has already told Obama that he will not shut down the government or allow impeachment. That means Obama can do anything he wants, veto the spending bills until he gets what he wants, and B* McConnell won't do anything other than pass Obama's bills and say "thank you sir may I have another".
Was I wrong?
