Appearing as a panelist on the November 6 Hardball, liberal talk show host Joe Madison offered his assessment for why Democrats lost the 2014 midterms:
Liberals, being the intellectuals they are, talk above the heads of the average voter, rather than communicating their ideas in an accessible manner for the layman to understand.
They need to “put it where the goats can get it,” as Madison’s grandfather would say. …

Democrats be like give us stuff, Republicans be like we got to work.
Put it where the goats can get it.
Then stab the goats with zerocare, inedible school lunches, deadly imported diseases, Benghazi, etc and chatter amongst yourselves where did the goats go? Simply baffled, they are.
20 some years ago, I use to listen to Joe on the old WRC talk radio in DC. He didn’t seem that stupid back then. And I guess he must think the race baiting Dem lines were ‘too’ smart for the targeted audience to understand.
The goats have seen it, swall0wed it, eliminated it, and determined it is good only for fertilizer.
Once again the Democrats have concluded they didn’t get their message out.
I’m very tempted to suggest they continue to believe that.
And he didn't really talk "down" to his audience. He actually lifted people's thoughts to a higher plane.
These liberals have made it their mission to talk to their audience with condescension.
Big difference.
Why should I tune into their programs when all they do is verbally hit me upside my head as if I were an idiot?
Which helps explain why the majority of surgeons, physicians dentists etc., tend to vote Republican while actors, welfare recipients, and criminals tend to vote Dem. Yup, they have high IQs piled up on their side. Let’s not even start on today’s “journalists,” who have turned investigative journalism on its ear in favor of becoming the sort of propaganda artists that would make Hitler proud. Clearly, getting a degree in journalism requires the mentality of the “middle school mean kid.”
