Bassem Masri was interviewed on CNN after being arrested for spitting on an officer. Before getting into a heated debate with host Michael Smerconish, Masri claimed that he did not in fact spit on the officer, but was expressing himself in a way that "Arabs" do.
At the beginning of the interview, Smerconish got right to the point and asked Masri if he spit on an officer. This was Masri's response:
"No, no I didn't. That was an expression that, uh, we use in, uh, Arabs, you know what I'm sayin'? Basically, it's just a sound of me being, you know, me spitting. It's not what I was actually doing. So, uh, yeah."
Smerconish then pushed Masri, asking if he was aware that he was arrested specifically for spitting on an officer.
Masri responded, "Yeah, they believe, they believe videos and they believe twitter shows before they actually look at evidence. But that'll get thrown out of court. That's cultural background, so, it's all good, you know?"

It is shocking that we allowed such losers to enter this country. All cultures are not equal. On the plus side, the arab idiot did not blow him self and others to a bloody pulp.

There are some that I don’t believe can ever be civilized.
After spending years in the mid-East, it is well known that spitting on someone, intentional or otherwise, is a highly offensive act.
Cultural? Yeah. . .deliberately offensive in any culture.
Chopping heads and raping women is also one of their “cultural expressions.”
He stated that civilians’ treatment of police officers should not be looked at, that “we” have a right to be mad at the police, and that the United States is “our” country.
I have gotten more and more on the side of the police since following Ferguson. This whole, "police have to give up their rights when they put on the badge" thing is for the birds. People who are not mentally disturbed in a "should be controlled for their own protection" kinda way have no business spitting on cops or pulling half the stunts I have seen on Ferguson videos.
Numerous "peaceful" protesters have claimed the right to do anything from scream racist insults to fling things at the cops, and insist that the police are "escalating" the situation when they respond to flung objects and shooting with tear gas and forced dispersal. The reason that people are conflating the "peaceful protesters" and the rioters is that the peaceful protesters are not only acting like rioters, but claiming the right to act like rioters while still having the right to the title "peaceful."

Arabs also express themselves via rape and beheading, so what is his point?
So send him to Saudi Arabia to spit on a Saudi officer and see the Arab customs that play out.
