A Berkeley man has died thanks to protesters who claim they are protesting against unnecessary deaths.

The man, who lived in a Kittredge Street apartment complex, collapsed several days ago while protests were going on in the streets around his home.

Paramedics attempted to rush to his aid, but were slowed and sometimes stopped by protesters. The protesters were demonstrating in favor of Michael Brown, an African American teen who was shot and killed after he assaulted and charged at a white police officer.

The protesters claimed they were in the streets to bring attention to unnecessary deaths caused by rash behavior.

Not only did we turn off our A/C here in Hernando Cty, we’ve already had a couple of frost warnings. I even had to put the top up on the convertible ;)

Did Garner resist arrest or not?

I doubt very much the guy waiting for the ambulance was resisting the protesters, causing them to protest harder and block traffic.

Looks like the Mall of America is preparing a lawsuit against protesters over lost profits and wages.
If true and not satire, I wish the M.O.A. the best of luck getting any blood out of those turnips.

Made me think of Sharpton who owes millions in taxes and the combined might of the IRS and the Justice dept can't get a nickel out of him.

On the other hand, it would be interesting to see the effects on those protesting neighborhoods after 6 months of consistently denied police, fire and EMS services.

Resisting arrest is a death penalty offense.

Had he been shot or "choked" to death, that statement might be valid. But he killed himself by resisting, and a heart condition caused or aggravated by his gross obesity and other medical problems caused that overworked organ to quit.

Had he surrendered and gone quietly with the police he might still be alive. Or maybe not, he was a DOA waiting to happen.

“But he killed himself by resisting”

Then you’re saying the police were justified in killing him because he resisted arrest. You’re also saying that the police are little more than mindless attack dogs who are incapable of rational thought and restraint in the presence of someone who resists their authority.

Because resisting arrest is an act of suicide according to your reasoning.

Wow. Your acceptance of such a numbing degree of tyranny astounds me.

So you really think the cops intended to kill Garner?

“So you really think the cops intended to kill Garner?”

No, I think they were indifferent to Garner’s pleas for help and they were more interested in scoring a ‘collar’ and, to some degree or another, they were also dispensing curbside justice to someone who failed to immediately stop, drop, and cower for them.
