A Berkeley man has died thanks to protesters who claim they are protesting against unnecessary deaths.
The man, who lived in a Kittredge Street apartment complex, collapsed several days ago while protests were going on in the streets around his home.
Paramedics attempted to rush to his aid, but were slowed and sometimes stopped by protesters. The protesters were demonstrating in favor of Michael Brown, an African American teen who was shot and killed after he assaulted and charged at a white police officer.
The protesters claimed they were in the streets to bring attention to unnecessary deaths caused by rash behavior.

I love the smell of irony in the morning.
This, like so many of the contemporary urban legends, is a result of a media with myopic focus on alleged grievances, rather than the basic liberty of ordinary folk. If we had a mass media capable of actually analyzing the fuller context of human behavior, the essential point would be far better understood.

Interesting.
Over on the Eric Garner topics there are FReepers who argue that the police were not responsible for Garner’s death because Garner was overweight and had asthma and etc.
But on this topic where are they? Aren’t they supposed to be here to tell us how the victim is responsible for dying in the ambulance? After all, if they weren’t ill they wouldn’t have died, right? Why should the protestors bear any responsibility for an inadvertent death?
Or are the NYPD responsible for what happened to Garner while he was in their custody?
In any case, I loathe SITUATIONAL ETHICS regardless if it’s liberals or conservatives doing it.
If these protestors are wrong for causing a death then so are the NYPD.
If the NYPD are not responsible for causing a death then neither are the protestors because, in both cases, had the victim not been ill they’d be alive, right?

“This is an organized movement to take control of the USA”
Or
An organized movement to nationalize local police forces ...
Garner could have saved himself by not resisting arrest, the ball was in his court.
For this guy, there was nothing he could do.
Resisting arrest is a death penalty offense. So noted.
If you have health issues, it's certainly a risk factor.
is it fair to say:
“Sharpton talks innocent people die.”
I brought up delayed ambulances weeks ago. Surprised it took this long before the protesters killed someone by their idiotic behavior. Each and every one of them, along with the community destroyers who encouraged them, should be charged with murder.
The mall will have to get the cops to round up each and ever one of the protesters to make a dent in the situation.
Im not surprised. This is an organized movement to take control of the USA. Helter Skelter if you will.
...
Libertarians, anarchists, communists and black racists all coming together for a common cause.
It's Berkeley. Most likely one of their own. But I wonder if there will ever be a follow-up story to this.
No common cause, whatever cause tickles their fancy.
There were about 8 police cars lined up on the sidewalk that runs along the Walmart store wall yesterday. That’s like half the police force. Not the parking lot but up against the building on the sidewalk. Nothing was going on. Just the regular crowd. No, it doesn’t have a St. Skittles/Gentle Giant type customer base so don’t know what was up. Can’t imagine any protesters thinking to show up. But still wondering why the cars were parked there.
Or,
An organized movement to take control of the USA by nationalizing local police forces.
Aw, that’s a shame.
Had no idea Broward county FL was zombie land when my parents brought us here as kids. Nice area though. Finally can turn off the A/C now yay.
