Forget about pro-amnesty Walker.
I should have known walker was a member of the eGOP...
If these idiots think supporting amnesty will get the even ONE vote, they must be in CO smoking the ganji...
How could he be so obtuse as to not support legal immigration while condemning line-jumping illegal immigration?
Th2016cat makes him a NO vote for the election
Last time I pointed out that he has a history of being an amnesty pimp, I was told in no uncertain terms that he had changed his views, and what he had said in the past was irrelevant.
Surrrrrrrre.....
Pro-Amnesty. Citizenship Path.
Face it folks. When it comes down to things, ALL of our choices - not just RINO, but conservatives too - will be “pro-amnesty”.
Including Ted Cruz.
To me this is a serious problem. And this is a guy who voted for him as County Exec, and Governor 3 times.
He doesn’t grasp the illegal immigration problem. And if he truly does he’s lying about it.
Merely “wanting to work here” shouldn’t just give someone citizenship. Especially when they don’t want to assimilate, and won’t give up their former country citizenship, and really only care about sending money out of America to their relatives in their home country.
Another one bites the dust.
Thanks for posting this. We really need an anti-amnesty candidate—and don’t have any at this point.
I wonder why Mary Fallin in OK hasn’t considered running.
If I wanted to live in Mexico, I would have moved there long ago. However, when we allow people to immigrate, we must be careful about the quality of the people we put on a path to citizenship. The enemies of liberty want citizens who are low intelligence and who are disposed to be malleable and pliable to be supporters of liberal programs and to become dependent upon Big Government “benefits”.
We are committing cultural suicide by allowing people in to our country in such quantities that they don’t have to assimilate.
However we decide to deal with people who came here in violation of our long-standing laws, we must NEVER grant such people the right to vote. This is for two reasons: to thwart those politicians who sought to import one-party voters, and second as a matter of principle. The law must mean something because it is for good reason. Otherwise we soon won’t have a country worth living in, as people in parts of France are finding out.
I also back having a citizenship pathway for illegal immigrants - my pathway is for them to go back home, apply for legal entry to our country, and then apply for citizenship. As for Gov. Walker’s ideas - no, thank you. I will not vote for him in the primaries or in the general election. He may be good in some other areas, but Amnesty, the Second Amendment, and repealing Obamacare are non-negotiable absolutes.
Do those things and illegal aliens will deport themselves and pay for the trip.
The article is from July 2013. Why does your post misleadingly indicate it is from today?
who the heck am I going to vote for?
It's not having them become citizens I object to, it's 1., simple fairness to those who went through the work of doing this legally, and 2., how making the legal would encourage more people to come here illegally.
Dealing with #1 is pretty simple - we simply make them wait until everyone who was ahead of them in line has obtained citizenship.
Dealing with #2 is more complicated. I've never seen a proposal that wouldn't create incentives for more people to come illegally.
But I'm not rigid about it. It's certainly a conversation I'm willing to have ... AFTER WE'VE SECURED THE BORDER!!!
Ted Cruz 2016!!!!
Somebody needs to tell Scotty that they don’t want no “steenkin’ pathway to citizenchip”. They want free money and other free stuff to take back to Mexico with them.
So does Texas Gov. Rick Perry.
Reject ALL pro-amnesty Republicans.
