The Clintons arent the only political dynasty to be eyeing the White House in 2016. Jeb Bush is openly considering a run, and former first lady Laura Bush would supports him. Nevertheless, Jebs mother, Barbara, might not be completely sold.
ABC News Jonathan Karl caught Laura Bush for an interview on Wednesday, and asked what she thought of her mother-in-laws discouraging comments preceding Jeb Bushs presidential exploratory committee.
I was shocked, Laura answered.
Still, she wont be bringing it up with the familys matriarch.
Do you think I would tell my mother-in-law something?
They were referring to a 2013 Today interview with Barbara Bush, where she said the country has had enough Bushes in the White House.
I think its a great country. There are a lot of great families, and its not just four families or whatever. There are other people out there that are very qualified, and weve had enough Bushes.
Shortly after that interview, Jeb Bush started stepping up his potential 2016 presidential run.
Barbara Bush had a subsequent change of heart, according to the Huffington Post, sending out a fundraising email to potential donors.
When the idea of Jeb running for President first came up, I was hesitant. You may have heard about that. When you see the pounding candidates, their spouses, and even their children take, what mother wouldnt be? But our problems are so profound that America needs a leader who can renew the promise of this great nation.
Of course, Laura Bush was unequivocal in her support of her brother-in-law, if he does choose to run.
The past few weeks have been big for the distant 2016 president race. Ted Cruz was the first person to announce his candidacy, followed by Rand Paul.
Hillary Clinton is the latest confirmed contender, starting a media frenzy with her YouTube video announcement called Getting Started.
Jeb Bush has been making some small moves, as well.
As previously reported by the Inquisitr, Jeb Bush seemed like he was shoring up support from the conservative base by speaking at an NRA leadership conference.
Hell likely need all the help he can get, now that Hillary Clinton announced her candidacy. Real Clear Politics has her 50 points above some of the most popular Democrats in a hypothetical party nomination race.
Theres still a long time before the 2016 presidential campaign, but Jeb Bush will likely need the support of his entire family, including his mother, to win in the end.
this is a stupid little game the bushes are playing.
give us a break.
NO MORE BUSHES
The Bushes have not been good for America. In fact, I don’t believe there’s been a president who’s good for America since Reagan.
It’s a soap opera?
These people are elitist scum. The White House is NOT a royal palace, the Presidency is not a King, and the people are not peasants. ENOUGH!
Amen!
true words
“I dont believe theres been a president whos good for America since Reagan.”
Mega dittos on that. The last time I was enthusiastic about voting for President was Reagan.
That’s right just ask the Dictator in Chief
You are correct enough is more than enough
I just don’t understand the mentality of these sociopaths who believe the Presidency is their due or ‘that they DESERVE’ it.
F both those families - the Bs and the Cs.
Bears repeating.

Ok. We don’t want another Bush but is it really necessary to discuss an 89 year old woman? Lets just concentrate on making sure that he doesn’t get the nomination.
I think Jeb may call it quits. This is not 2008 or 2012 when there were a lot weak conservatives running - this is a VERY TOUGH FIELD.
The problem for The Money is who to support next? Christie wants open borders and wants to grab guns, so he may be ok. Rubio, of course, nearly gave us open borders, but he’s weak on guns (i.e., that’s how The Money sees it, since he supports the Second Amendment).
UGH
The Bush’s are not trustworthy.
“.....Jeb Bush seemed like he was shoring up support from the conservative base by speaking at an NRA leadership conference.”

Who the hell are they kidding? John Ellis Bush doesn’t have any conservative support to “shore up.”
As for Laura, didn’t her daughters vote for Obama? Epic fail.
He didn’t go after Mrs. Barbara Bush and the article is about her and her daughter-in-law. Who was he supposed to discuss?
I think Jeb may call it quits.
I agree. He’s going to see the writing on the wall.
