Salon.com is tired of how ignorant white people are when it comes to race. In a new article titled, “Black people are not here to teach you: What so many white Americans just can’t grasp,” author Kali Holloway says she has had enough.
“America loves teachable moments, those real-life Very Special Episodes of supposed cross-cultural exchange and transracial learning,” she beings. “The problem with those teachable moments,” she scoffs, “is that the same people always end up doing all the teaching.”
No more, says Holloway. “In matters of race, the marginalized are tasked with being educators,” she writes, “That is, people of color (POC), are expected to be patient and polite racial and cultural ambassadors who provide white people new to this whole “thinking critically about race” thing with a “way in.””
This is “charitable” and “unselfish” of African Americans, says Holloway, particularly to a group of ignorant “white people who’ve previously done precious little thinking about racism and privilege, but often have quite a bit to say on the topic.”
And if African Americans do not educate stupid white people, she continues, “The idea seems to be that we’ve missed an opportunity, that it’s our duty to hold white people’s hands and educate them, that we’re condemning some poor white person to a continued life of ignorance.”
To that end, Holloway has a message for “whites:” “people of color are not obligated to teach even the most well-intentioned white people anything about race. They certainly can if they want to, but it’s neither their duty or obligation. The onus rests on white “allies” to educate themselves.”

Laughable, even for Salon. Poor people of color! So heavily burdened teaching us dumb whites! I guess this means they are tired of gracing us with their wisdom, and will leave now. Oh no!
Where is the proof of this? The only case I know of where this may be true is with Morgan Freeman and Ashley Judd.

Miss Holloway is so full of it. The ironic part is she and many other blacks go running to white liberals every election cycle and give the Dems 95% of their vote, yet these are the very same white people she complains about. Ignorant woman.

I used to work in an office with pretty much a 50/50 Black/White ratio...
Those of color thought we were all ignorant, stupid, didn’t know nothin’ about life or black people... or white people!
They never ceased to ‘educate’ us on stuff daily. And all of it was the same crap we hear from Sharpton and Jackson.

When I mentioned an early childhood memory - at the local beach with my mom and sisters; the sun was going down and mom was trying to rush us down the boardwalk, nervous as anything -because there were packs of black dudes stationed all along the boardwalk - making comments about da ‘white’ woman... one bunch started following us (mom was mid thirties and still attractive).
My black co-workers called me racist. Sheesh...

That is true surely for our President, who learned how to be black from reading books and copying people he met in college. BECAUSE HE GREW UP AROUND ONLY ASIANS IN A LILY WHITE FAMILY.
