Who is your favorite rock band ever?

Posted on 05/02/2015 8:51:26 AM PDT by ilovesarah2012

I saw The Doobie Brothers and Don Felder (Eagles) last night and they still sound great.

Eagles are my all-time favorite. I never get tired of listening to them. I'm a believer in rock keeping us young!

TO everything turn turn turn turn. How many of us knew where the lyrics of that song came from?? Ecclesiastes 3 ► There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under the heavens: 2a time to be born and a time to die, a time to plant and a time to uproot, 3a time to kill and a time to heal, a time to tear down and a time to build, 4a time to weep and a time to laugh, a time to mourn and a time to dance, 5a time to scatter stones and a time to gather them, a time to embrace and a time to refrain from embracing, 6a time to search and a time to give up, a time to keep and a time to throw away, 7a time to tear and a time to mend, a time to be silent and a time to speak, 8a time to love and a time to hate, a time for war and a time for peace.

I can’t name just one.

Pink Floyd
The Beatles
The Ramones

I can narrow it down to those three, with Zep close.

I liked the Doobie Brothers immensely. I also liked the Eagles very much in my earlier years but later came to find out Don Henley was a rabid liberal. I wouldn’t give that band the time of day now. I really don’t know about the political bents of the Doobie brothers as an aside but that’s okay as long as I don’t get that “in your face” from them. With the Eagles and Henley, I did. He’s a flaming Lib-tard rabid raccoon in my book.

I don't have one favorite. I do like Fleetwood Mac, Aerosmith and Bon Jovi. Lately, I've become a Dave Matthews Band fan.

Loved Fleetwood Mac. Went to see them in Miami many years ago. So much pot being passed around that by the time they came on, I was pretty much out. I remember Stevie Nicks singing Rhiannon and after that - nothing. LOL

No pot at the concert I went to last night but a lot of beer and wine.

"Chicago", circa 1972 put on a great concert.

Also liked "The Who", "Grand Funk Railroad", and the ever favorite "Beachboys".

Chicago.

Not really rock but Earth Wind and Fire is another favorite.

I tend to prefer ‘70’s R&B.

Modern rappers can’t tie the shoes of the 70’s singers
