Who is your favorite rock band ever?

Posted on 05/02/2015 8:51:26 AM PDT by ilovesarah2012

I saw The Doobie Brothers and Don Felder (Eagles) last night and they still sound great.

Eagles are my all-time favorite. I never get tired of listening to them. I'm a believer in rock keeping us young!

Spinal Tap

Strange Fruit

Steel Dragon

The Wonders

And I'm really pissed that the Doobie Brothers are not in the Hall of Fame. I'm boycotting Cleveland until the Doobies are in the Hall.

As far as real bands go, I'm a fan of The Doobies, Zeppelin, Beatles, Dire Straits, etc.

I really don’t know about the political bents of the Doobie brothers as an aside but that’s okay as long as I don’t get that “in your face” from them.

Doobie lead guitarist Jeff "Skunk" Baxter may be a conservative. He's a noted expert in missile defense technology. I'm not kidding.

Very short era, but that was the Stones at their best.

I don’t disbelieve it. If you’re old enough to remember film beauty Hedy Lamarr, you’d know that she was a mathematical genius and published papers and developed schemes that can be likened to technology communication structure today.

Queen..., I saw the late Freddie Mercury twice in the LA Forum in ‘82. ZZTop is a close second.

I saw Foreigner last year. Of course they were great. Loved Bad Company and liked Bob Seger.

Our kids are not gonna have great oldies like we do. LOL
