A big win for people who hate the fact that words have meanings.

SCOTUS grants Obama another gift, ignores the English language to uphold ObamaCare subsidiesAnd that’s that. Obama, as usual, gets his way. It was predictable, really. Having abandoned the meaning of words within the English language, the Supreme Court is now free to ignore the actual text of laws and pretend things were written that never were.

As the AP reports:

The Supreme Court on Thursday upheld the nationwide tax subsidies under President Barack Obama’s health care overhaul, in a ruling that preserves health insurance for millions of Americans.

The justices said in a 6-3 ruling that the subsidies that 8.7 million people currently receive to make insurance affordable do not depend on where they live, under the 2010 health care law.

The outcome is the second major victory for Obama in politically charged Supreme Court tests of his most significant domestic achievement. It came the same day the court gave the administration an unexpected victory by preserving a key tool the administration uses to fight housing bias.

John Roberts wrote the majority opinion, which stated that the law was upheld because:

Whatever happened to it not being the court’s job to fix a law? Roberts clearly saw the error. He should have ruled on the actual wording and left it to the legislature to fix anything that needed fixing. But no. He likes the law so he decides to keep it.

Perhaps the entire territory that was once known as “the United States of America” should adopt a completely different language, as the English language no longer serves as a means of communication.

Chinese would be nice....

That sure would make commerce easier.

In other words, they upheld it because it was too big to fail, not due to legality.

In related but unreported news, the Supreme Court ruled today that the First Amendment really means that there will be no freedom of the press (except when it supports the government), and that the right of the people to assemble to petition the government for redress of grievances really means that the people have no such right.

I find it strange that Roberts was willing to make an idiot of himself when his vote was not even necessary to retain his desired outcome. Well, at least he has come out of the closet as a transreconstuctionist.

Clearly, like every other branch of government, the Supreme Court no longer serves the function for which it was intended. As I’ve said here and elsewhere, when the Executive Branch collects vast volumes of data via the Patriot Act and other unconstitutional means, does anyone really believe that it distinguishes between private citizens and members of Congress or Supreme Court justices? When it obtains potentially damaging information on anyone, in any walk of life, does anyone accept the premise that the executive will not use that information to its advantage...?

They are stating to piss off too many people, too many times.

I am amazed no one has started shooting yet.

Maybe this is why they are inciting their own to commit gun crimes- to remove them from everyone else before the 2nd civil war starts.

I have heard locally from a friend of a friend of a friend that there are meetings being held by people who are ALREADY willing to go to war.

As corrupted as DC now is regarding their continuous betrayal and shackling of the American people, those in DC and their puppet masters need to go extinct. After this SCOTUS fiasco this morning, if it wasn’t before, it ought to now be more clearer than ever why the ruling elite and their DC thugs so desire to disarm the rest of us.

Part of the problem is our own individual fault. Are we letting money talk louder than God does? If so, then we have already ceded the battle.

ONLY until faith allows God to talk louder than money (and not because your neighbor is making it easier by joining in) will we have the roots of a beneficial revolution of faith.

Dressing socialism in revolutionary war clothes doesn’t make it not socialism.
