With the Supreme Court’s landmark ruling this Friday legalizing same sex marriage in all 50 states, social liberalism has achieved one of its central goals. A right seemingly unthinkable two decades ago has now been broadly applied to a whole new class of citizens. Following on the rejection of interracial marriage bans in the 20th Century, the Supreme Court decision clearly shows that marriage should be a broadly applicable right—one that forces the government to recognize, as Friday’s decision said, a private couple’s “love, fidelity, devotion, sacrifice and family.”

Already legal. With the Supreme’s interpretation of the Fourteenth Amendment, there is no limit to our freedom. The states have their hands tied now.

Here’s an idea: Let’s spend billions of man-hours and dollars passing constitutional amendments forbidding it. Then the courts can tell us to go to hell, and the Dems can light up the White House to rub salt in our wounds.

Government regulation of marriage has been taken over by the Pink Swastika crowd. Bake the cake or they will send government to destroy your family business. They will grind you into the dust as far as they can like they did to the former CEO of Mozilla, Brendan Eich. This is homo-fascism in action.
If we have a separation of church and state, in order to protect godly marriage, we must separate marriage and state. It is time to get government out of the business of defining and regulating marriage.
When marriage is a private matter once again, the Pink Swastika crowd cannot force anyone to bake a cake they don’t want to.
I’ll predict the scenario. Within 90 days...some guy shows up at a small town marriage license office, and asks for a license for his second wife. They refuse. He goes to court and locally loses, but challenges it to his state court. It won’t hit the Supreme Court until Oct 2017, but will be decided by summer of 2018. Polygamy will be the law of the land...they have no choice because of the interpretation of ‘happiness’. I think gays will be a bit shocked that this came up but quickly accept this.
By 2025, I expect cousins to be taken to the Court and be authorized to marry.
