There are plenty of photos of Ronald Reagan with Ted Kennedy, both smiling.
There are plenty of photos of Harry Truman with Josef Stalin, in cordiality.
What’s you point? Oh never mind, you don’t have one.
I have a point there is a difference between business/government meetings and attending a wedding. Oh Never mind you wouldn’t/couldn’t understand. Clinton and Clinton - Lite are the choices you want
Except we have context for the photo of Trump and the Clintons. The Clintons were invited guests to his wedding. Now I don't know about you, but I didn't invite people to my wedding that were not close friends or family. I know Donald gets married a lot, so maybe he just needed to mix up the guest list to keep it interesting. But combine that with Donald's previous glowing comments about Hillary, Bill calling Donald prior to Donald entering the race, his contributions to the Clinton Foundation, his contributions to Hillary's senatorial campaign, his earlier positions on things like abortion, single-payer health care, etc... It provides a context that raises questions that should be asked. And for Donald and/or his supporters to suggest that it is wrong to even ask the question raises even more concern for me.
He also said he will impose a tax of 35% on Ford Motors if they building their 1.2 billion plant in Mexico and not the USA.
Can you explain exactly how a President Trump would impose such taxes on his own?
I'm sure during the course of the campaign, Trump will be pressed on the question of why he had Shrillary at his wedding and we can choose to accept or not accept any reason he gives us. In the meantime, we are only speculating and jumping to conclusions.
You should know the answer to your question if you have any knowledge or experience in watching politics and government. I sense your asking is not genuine but rather a snarky and feeble attempt to cast doubt. All you’ve done is show readers how shallow your mind is.
Trump will propose his plan for duties to Congress and use all his power to get Congress behind him, otherwise there will be hell to pay because the American people want to done.
For those with a sincere desire to learn from reading these threads, note that NAFTA is not a treaty, it is an agreement. And as such, it can be amended by Congress.
There are plenty of photos of Harry Truman with Josef Stalin, in cordiality.
Did Reagan attend Kennedy's wedding?
Did Reagan make donations to Kennedy's Senate campaign?
You are making ridiculous arguments and false equivalencies in order to defend Trump. These types of attempts, more than just about anything else, worry me about the support for Trump. It seems like Trump supporters are willing to overlook behavior and a record that would have branded candidates with a much longer and more thoroughly documented conservative record as a RINO at best. And the impulse seems to be to try to shout down anyone that wants to bring these issues to the fore.
Look if these things are not important to you, say so and be willing to explain why you accept this from Trump but would not accept it from someone else. But don't pretend they are not real issues, or that it is an attack on Trump to discuss them.
Throughout American history there have been numerous instances of political enemies burying the hatchet for a wedding, bar mitzvah, etc.
You don’t have a point, so go away.
If YOU want to be intellectually honest about it, as long as Trump wanted to stay a private citizen, it made no difference who he invited to his wedding. Once he decided he wanted to run for president, ALL of his past associations became fair game for review.
If I ever ran for public office, how could I ever satisfactorily explain that one away to my critics other than to say I could not foresee future events?
Did you know he was a child molester when you invited him? If not, then that is a false equivalency. Trump invited the Clinton's to his wedding in 2005. Are you saying Trump had no idea what the Clintons stood for and represented after 8 years of Bubba as president and 5 years of Hillary as Senator?
> “Did Reagan make donations to Kennedy’s Senate campaign?”
Reagan was not a business man. Apples and Oranges.
Trump has already answered on many occasions questions regarding his business dealings. He gave to both parties and unfortunately that’s how business people have to be otherwise they are not looking out for the best interests of their businesses, employees and investors.
Look, you can harp all you want on Trump, it’s not going to change the fact that he is winning even after the media and the GOPe have thrown everything they could against him.
Your feeble rant is not going to change a damn thing mostly because you don’t have a relevant point.
Rant away if you must but it’s your time and energy which is wasted. Try emailing Pajama Boy of your undying support if it makes you ‘feel’ better.
Do you really think the Dems in the Senate will give a flying fig about what the people who vote for Trump will want? Maybe he can persuade enough Dems to crossover to get something like that passed, but chances are slim. But Donald doesn't say he will ask Congress to impose these taxes. He seems to imply that he will impose these taxes.
Ted Cruz would do it and survive. He’s a gentleman and he does not judge people personally. He’s a big enough boy to meet with any leader foreign or domestic.
He met with the two homosexual innkeepers and suffered nothing in the polls.
Ted would also have his photo taken with Mitch McConnell or John Boehner even though both are despicable human beings. And Ted Cruz would have his photo taken with Obama even though he publicly exclaims the truth that Obama is a Muslim Marxist who is hellbent to bring this country down.
The reason Ted Cruz can do these things is because he is the most trusted candidate of any and because he has a track record of integrity.
You’ve had your 5 minutes of enfeebled rant; now go away.
Except that there is no evidence that Trump and the Clintons have ever been political enemies. Trump donated to Hillary multiple times - 2002, 2005, 2006 and 2007. And that does not even consider the money donated to the Clinton Foundation.
Speaking of donations, it is well documented that while Trump donated to politicians on both sides of the aisle, he donated more to Democrats up until 2012, when he decided to run for president in the GOP...
Your rant is old and pointless. Move on.
Exactly. So why try to imply that Reagan appearing in a picture with Teddy Kennedy is in any way relevant to the fact that Trump invited the Clintons to his wedding?
Ted crus has far better sense than haing such a picture taken. Stay on course to Clinton and Clinton - Lite! They suit you to a Tee.
Carry on with your rants. It’s good to show people reading why the anti-Trump crowd can never get anywhere with their snobbish remarks (snarks).
And just to think persons that are orders of magnitude more influential than you two nobodies have failed to take Trump down. But keep on trying. It’s your time and energy to waste.
Trump is on top and based on his performance to date he will remain well ahead of his opponents.
Ive seen posts indicating sort of contempt for people who went to college during the nam draft to avoid said draft.
Not everyone who went to college went for the purpose of avoiding the draft. Id bet that most of them would have gone to college anyway.
It was pretty obvious to my dad and his brothers that nam was just an excuse to draft the poor and send them to war and be killed for...
Road apples. What are you doing on this site, anyway? Seems like you spew a lot of hippiedippie leftwad crap.
my uncle who cleverly avoided the draft would make a perfectly good President.
So you say, but why should anybody believe it? You cant even see the value in requiring that public officials have actually demonstrated that they have what it takes.
I’m a hippie? LOL.
What, precisely, did the war in Iraq accomplish?
My nephew lost a perfectly good left eye there as a marine ground pounder in Fallujah.
We haven’t been allowed to win a war since WWII. Fact.
Best we did was negotiated dmz in Korea.
