SCOTUS can’t repeal anything in the Constitution. Any repeal would have to take place through a Constitutional Convention.

A convention of states my be the only solution to save the republic... unless of course the SCOTUS deems even that “unConstitutional”. Despots have few limits in their lust for tyranny.

I read somewhere recently that, if you go by hunting permits issued and assume each is a single armed citizen, just Ohio would have the 10th largest standing army in the world.

From copyright law "fair use" doctrine to the Second amendment, the entire U.S. government is out of control.

Just an aside, when was the last time a justice was assassinated?

The Supreme Court can’t repeal an amendment, but they can render an interpretation of an amendment which could change how the related laws and amendment itself are interpreted and administered.

Worshipping Caesar would be immoral. However, not registering a gun if Caesar demanded it? That’s not so morally clear cut to me as Christian.

BTW, I’m only expressing my own thoughts on the matter and not advocating for or against any other position. I’m simply saying it (gun registration or confiscation) would not be a simple issue, clear cut issue for me. It would also be a deadly serious decision of course.

I don’t really see any spiritual issue here with not registering or turning them in.

The Scriptures tell us that we obey the laws when they do not directly conflict with Scripture itself (Rom. 13:1, Titus 3:1, I Pet. 2:13-14, etc.)

HOWEVER.

In our system, what is the highest earthly law? It is the Constitution. The Constitution is what it is- Not what the SCOTUS says it is, for the Constitution itself nowhere gives SCOTUS any prerogative to interpretively overturn its provisions, or even to engage in any kind of “judicial review.”

Ergo, whenever any act of government goes contrary to the Constitution (which we the people are to decide through our states, since that was the scenario for ratification), it is null and void.

No SCOTUS decision that “interprets” the 2nd amendment as a collective right only has any standing. No federal law which seeks to restrict or overturn, in practice if not in word, the right to keep in bear arms has any standing.

If the Christian wants to obey the law, then they first and foremost obey the Constitution. All other powers are subsidiary to it, are instituted by it, and therefore have no legal standing to overrule it.

Obeying the Constitution, in our system, is fulfilling Rom. 13:1, etc. We obey it - not any subsidiary power which conflicts with it.

It is a RINO lead conspiracy with a few rogue conservative writers between the brain farts of Atheists like George Will and Charles C. I. M. A. BRIT Cooke.

Agree, but...where in our Constitution does it say the SCOTUS has authority to unilaterally force government healthcare upon us and our required support of homomarriage?

While there is a lot of competition out there, I believe this one rates as dumbest headline of the day.

“What they would do instead is ban ammunition.”

Without ammunition guns are not arms, but cleverly shaped pieces of metal, wood, and/or plastic. The right to bear arms includes the ammo that is part of them.

There aren’t enough Secret Service employees to defend a decision like that.

That is why the dems want to bring in UN troops to police us along with the huge population of illegals. This invasion has a purpose.

I do not think dems have thought this through or know who Americans are, power and insulation from the population has left them clueless.... The consequences will be devastating.

Never surrender your guns to authorities without a Supreme Court decree requiring surrender.
