That is like a question I have about visited states.

Does it count if all you’ve done is transfer planes in the airport?

Yeah, I was just wondering if 1 minute walking around the “Four Corners” counts as hitting 4 states. Kinda not satisfying if it does (having been thru an assortment of “yeah, technically I’ve been there” places).

I think you have to at least exit airport security for it to count...

there are 48 areas one wishes to travel between in minimal distance.

If were ever to attempt such a thing (I did once drive from New York City to Dallas), I wouldn't want to simply cover the least amount of miles. I would want to hit particular places of interests, such as certain state or national parks, various historic landmarks, etc, along the way.

Sorry, think it is weed, WHITES and wine. Whites being amphetamines to keep from sleeping. But I’m still willin’.

Me too, I have Alaska left. My dream road trip is the Alaska Highway, maybe in a couple of years.

Could be helped by making a list of satisfying “I’ve been there” sites in every state, scattered across enough that you don’t have to go far into a state to reach one, yet come out with a smug sense of having “been there”.

This is sounding like it would make for an interesting app to write.

Tough haul. Good luck. On a lesser vein. Anchorage to Seward and fishing is a nice 2-3 hour drive and pat-way is the valley of 9 glaciers. Also-anchrage to Denali to Fairbanks a nice triangle. Best wishes.
