Ted Cruz Apologizes To Carson For Lying About His Race Withdrawal - Well, Sort of...

by sundance

The Canadian Clinton realizes the exposed scheme has the potential to reveal his true character so he goes immediately to the old reliable “I didn’t know” routine.

ted cruz large“Last night when our political team saw the CNN post saying that Dr. Carson was not carrying on to New Hampshire and South Carolina, our campaign updated grassroots leaders just as we would with any breaking news story. That’s fair game. What the team then should have done was send around the follow-up statement from the Carson campaign clarifying that he was indeed staying in the race when that came out. his was a mistake from our end, and for that I apologize to Dr. Carson.”… (read more)

Oh look, another “accident”, another “mistake”, another inadvertent “misstatement”.

He didn’t know he was Canadian. He didn’t know he was voting for TPA. He didn’t know the money he gave the NRSC was used to attack Chris McDaniel. He didn’t know he missed the Goldman Sach’s FEC filing on campaign finance. Notice a pattern?…

The campaign manager, Rick Tyler, and all other participants in the campaign team, then immediately begin obfuscating and manipulating events – belittling Dr. Carson. It’s just how they roll.

The important aspect most people do not internally emphasize or accept is that Ted Cruz’s followers are approximately 15-20% of the Republican primary electorate. They are about 5% of the national electorate….. and these are mostly really nasty people.

The Cruz Clan will never vote for any other candidate in a general election. If they don’t get to vote for the messiah they stay home. It’s all Ted Cruz at all costs, and nothing else matters. That allows them to disconnect from the deception that stands as a necessary foundation for the Cruz campaign.

obamabotsHence the psychological manipulation, the need to rely on Cambridge Analytica, and the constant need to go back to the captured audience for money. The plate is passed around the same congregation over-and-over-and-over. Throwing the ju-ju-bones is a familiar technique amid all of the snake handlers and most professionally religious constructs.

However, there is an upside to acceptance. If Ted Cruz does not win the GOP nomination, none of the Cruz Clan will vote in the general election, they never do. They have such a short-sighted narrow view of issues, if they don’t get “their leader” they stay home.

When you accept they will never vote for anyone else, you realize you can stop worrying about their always tender sensibilities. The GOPe have known this for years, and take a dismissive approach to the ‘nuts-over-there‘. When John McCain says “whacko-birds”, it’s the Clan of the Cruz he’s referring to.

Lonely people. Socially isolated.

Nasty people.

Watch the video. The CNN reporters talk about how bizarre what Carson is doing is. They go on to say that no candidate who is still seriously running would do this. The fairly strong hint is that Carson is about to suspend his campaign.

Al Capone might have slashed tires, but that would not make some kid who did the same thing Al Capone.

We don't know who pulled the trigger on the message, nor whether Cruz even knew about it before it went out. The CNN screenshot would have made me wonder about the 'announcement', and do further investigation, not necessarily think Carson was dropping out if I was a Carson supporter.

I think (tinfoil time) that the person who gained was not Cruz or Trump, but Rubio, the 'surprise' candidate who 'suddenly' blew up past Carson to take third.

I can see a GOPe operative in Cruz camp displacing one 'outsider' and letting another take the blame for dirty tricks to advance a GOPe candidate. Cruz would be stuck apologizing, because like any captain of any vessel, he is responsible for the actions of his campaign. That does not necessarily mean he, personally, approved or was aware of the message when it went out.

If that is the case, the GOPe is infiltrating the staff of the 'outsiders' and will do all possible to eliminate them, and Rubio is the anointed GOPe standard bearer, at least for now.

This report was aired 15 minutes before the caucus. No time for team Cruz to do a detailed fact check on a breaking news story. Not to mention that Trump never fact checks before he smears Cruz.

I have never heard a Crux supporter say that if Cruz didn't win they wouldn't vote in the general election,

You hear what you want to hear. But that right there is utterly false. Not only have cruz supporters said that, I won't repeat what they have said about Trump, his family and his supporters. And I'll add the behavior of some cruz supporters here on FR last night was downright depraved.

What a BS article. I don’t consider myself “nasty”. I will consider any candidate who wins the nomination as I believe the biggest threat to our country is losing the Supreme Court. We will truly be screwed. I happen to like Cruz, so that’s who I’m hoping for.
If it is Trump or Rubio I will vote for him.
The only one I doubt I could vote for is Jeb. Can’t do it, just can’t do it.

I watched the video. They were spinning two facts. He was headed home for a few days and then going to DC.

The point remains, why didn’t Cruz verify Carson’s intentions before putting out a phony narrative made up by his campaign?

just because CNN couldn’t Understand plain english from Carson, doesn’t make Cruz and staff excused for their stupidity.

Cruz above all should know a candidate puts in huge effort and would not bail out just before the first voting!

Cruz camp chose to twist CNN’s words more and then share a lie with voters.

I don’t know who in Cruz’ camp sent the message
I don’t know who sent the voter violation notifications
I didn’t know I was a Canadian citizen
I didn’t know I had health insurance when I said I didn’t
I voted for the corker bill to stop the Iran deal
I supported TPA because I knew I would be POTUS and could change TPP then
I supported TPA so the next president would have fast track authority
I voted for TPA because mitch lied to me

Oh, by the way, did you know I’m a Harvard educated constitutional expert and lawyer with scruples.

Yes, unfortunately we don’t know what the true voting would have been if this false information was not shared around the caucuses.

everyone just goes on saying, oh well, and a lame apology, no real righting of the wrong.

Then they shouldn't have floated a narrative they hadn't verified as factual. That shows a lack of integrity.

for a Christian man as Cruz claims to be- there was and is always time to do the right thing, not the “think of himself first” thing as team Cruz did.

It’s a character flaw. It keeps showing up.

That’s a plausible scenario. If so, Cruz needs to find rhe culprit(s) and publicly expose the fraud.

The Trumpettes are deafening.

He knew he supported a mandate for a fuel he wouldn't put in his helicopter.

He knew he was planning to use the anti-industry/minimg/power generation/coal/fraccing and polluter of the year EPA to enforce it.

He knew by saying that that the Governor would declare him St. Donald of Ethanol and stump for him.

Especially after the Governor had declared war on Cruz for saying he'd get rid of the mandate.

It's a rough little sandlot they play in.

I still don't know that Cruz personally approved or sent the message. Had I been a Carson supporter in Iowa, though, I would have read the CNN screenshot and made inquiries of the Carson campaign (which should have been putting out its own messages--ya think?), because the screenshot didn't say Carson was dropping out.

We still don't know that GOPe operatives haven't infiltrated 'outsider' camps for the purpose of bringing those candidates down and getting a GOPe win. So, unless The Donald is GOPe, y'all take notice.

On the video CNN also said that a person doesn't win the presidency by taking two days off, right before the NH primary.

The point remains, why didn't Cruz verify Carson's intentions before putting out a phony narrative made up by his campaign?

It's not up to Cruz to verify Carson's intentions. It is Cruz's prerogative to pass along news reports to the caucus goers, and let them decide for themselves how they want to consider the report.

If I was the Cruz campaign I would pass along the CNN report in its full accurate context and I would let the caucus goers decide for themselves.

I would point out to the caucus goers that a candidate who takes two days off right before the NH primary, isn't in my opinion serious.

I wouldn't say that I know for a fact, that Carson is dropping out.

So the question becomes, what email or tweet, from what Cruz person, specifically said that Carson was dropping out?

I don’t agree with anything you just said. Even given that, show me where Trump lied about any of it. Cruz lies with the ease of a sleazy politician. Whats next?

it depends on what the definition of “lie” is?
Plausible deniability?
No controlling legal authority?
you can’t prove I broke any laws?

I never said Trump lied.

He sold out every person who drives a gasoline powered vehicle, both in fuel system damage and reduced mileage with the bonus of continuing the EPA to fully enforce that mandate for the support of the ethanol lobby in Iowa (Including the Governor there, whose son is an Ethanol Industry lobbyist).

The real cognitive dissonance occurs when you try to flange up the idea of continuing the EPA and "Making America Great Again", because no single Federal Agency has done as much as the EPA to drive industry offshore with moving target emissions standards, and has at the same time, waged war on Coal and coal fired electrical generation, Oil and Gas exploration and production (especially fraccing), and private property rights: declaring a mudhole an "intermittent wetland" and asserting authority over all of them. For icing on the cake, the EPA was the responsible agency for the Gold King Mine disaster, polluting the Animas River with millions of gallons of toxic mine waste.

How are you going to keep such an agency and restore American Industry?

You can't.
