On Thursday, Rep. John Lewis (D-Ga.) told the media that he questions whether Democratic presidential candidate Sen. Bernie Sanders (DS-Vt.) was as involved in the civil rights movement as he has said he was.

I truly hate to defend Bernie in any way, but this is just plain dumb. Is John Lewis suggesting that his personal acquaintance (or lack thereof) with someone 50+ years ago in a movement that involved tens of thousands of people is somehow significant? Give me a break.
