Cruz supporters: Did Cruz's comments change your mind on him?

I am a Trump supporter but I would like to know if Cruz's comments about Chicago changed the mind of any of his supporters. Is it A) no difference I still support Cruz B) I am rethinking my support for Cruz C) I am now going to support another candidate or not voting?

I considered Cruz however it’s not only what he said but his rush to the microphone Friday night that really turned me off. Like a hungry dog eager for scraps. Ugh.

I am 110% still behind Ted Cruz. His statement was spot on.

Freepers, you’re better than being played for a fool by a Narcissist Johnny-Come-Lately who absolutely has fanned the flames of violence.

Ted Cruz has been solid as a rock for most of the time we have known him. His views don’t change based upon the wind. Vote Cruz. He is absolutely what is best for this country!

well neither did Cruz BLAME Trump for the disturbance

Wow, just wow. Cruz blames Trump for creating the environment for these protests and you somehow think Cruz isn't blaming Trump.

That's some strong Kool-Aid right there.

I can't believe Cruz supporters are defending Cruz on this. Cruz took the same side as Hillary Clinton for crying out loud. Must feel good knowing Cruz and Hillary are on the same page.

Cruz did great work at Bush’s FTC. W would not endorse Ted for the Senate.

Ted did great work in the Senate.

I hope it all works out.

You say:

“Cruz is always careful to make sure Trump has said the equivalent thing first.”

But you also said:

“I’m still with Cruz and that is because he is leading by example.”

NO.

TRUMP is leading by example. The ONLY reason that Cruz has any momentum is that he’s *following* Trump’s lead.

You see that... but you DON’T see that.

Why can’t you see the disconnect?

Cruz is ONLY against amnesty and for a wall because Trump suggested it and got headwind with the proposal.

Your candidate is only making gains because he’s *following* the stronger candidate’s policies.

Cruz comments last night were the truth therefore i still wholly support him. O the other hand Trumps cheap little theatrics trying to claim shennanigan’s in the early Florida voting looks like nothing more than a sleazy move to get the headlines changed in his favor and doe’s not help me to retain my same level of support for him.

Trump condones and encourages ciolence, then complains when it comes his way? Sorry, but that’s hypocrisy.

Wrong. Trump condones and encourages fighting back.

ABOUT DAMN TIME. He's the only one doing it.

Trump didn't start this war. The same forces massing against him were massing against all of us LONG before Trump entered this race.

Now, the battle is joined. It's on. And Cruz – and you – have chosen to side with the global leftist anarchist thug mob.

Cruz stepped in the GOPe crap and it is now all over him.

If Cruz were drawing 20,000 at Chicago the same idiots would have shut it down.

Trump would not be out there blaming Cruz.

You have no argument here.

I had a feeling you would deflect and go there.

Good to see Ted Cruz is sympathetic to BLM, illegals and radical islamists.

Ted's true colors are showing.

God help you for your lack of discernment.

I don't support left wing candidates no matter how loud they yell they've repented.

Try not using personal attacks in your next rebuttal.

No candidate can win without getting the party apparatus behind him. Trump is God’s gift to Cruz as he is the only guy that people are so worried about him having his finger on the button or reverting to his many Democrat positions that they’re willing to get behind Cruz, who they would normally oppose.

Cruz is remaking the party from the inside, just like we asked him and the other Tea Party candidates to do when we elected them. We couldn’t have asked for a better situation when we started the Tea Party if God created it himself. We just need to back Cruz now so he gets over the hump and into the White House.

No, because he was completely righ tin what he said.

Contrary to what the Trumpist-media complex is claiming, here is what the video shows Ted Cruz ACTUALLY saying:

1. The blame for the violence in Chicago lies squarely with the protesters.

2. There seems to be a culture of violence around the Trump campaign, as demonstrated by incident after incident.

He’s right. Once or twice, you might be an innocent victim. When something keeps showing up, it’s you.

For the umpteenth time, despite what you Trumpkins keep insisting, TED CRUZ DID NOT BLAME TRUMP FOR THE VIOLENCE IN CHICAGO. Period. Full stop.

Now it’s time to get over it. You’ve been lied to again, and you just keep regurgitating the lies you’ve been told more and more insistently.

Time to stop.
