Ted Cruz: “Trump Threatened My Wife” [VIDEO]
Red State ^ | March 23, 2016 | Sara Gonzales

Posted on 03/23/2016 9:13:08 AM PDT by GodGunsGuts

Ted Cruz spoke to Chris Cuomo this morning on CNN about the Twitter battle that took place between the two of them last night on Western Tuesday. This is what he had to say:

TRANSCRIPT

Cruz: But what Donald did last night, and listen, you’re in New York, you’ve seen this a lot. When Donald gets scared, when he gets angry, when he’s threatened, he begins yelling, he begins screaming, he begins often cursing, and he begins trying to be a bully. So last night Donald threatened my wife, he went directly after my wife. And I gotta tell you, number one- Heidi, my wife, she’s the daughter of missionaries in Africa, she’s my best friend in the world, and if Donald wants to get in a character fight, he’s better off sticking with me because Heidi is way out of his league. But it is also– it reveals a lot about character, it reveals a lot about class, that Donald’s instinct is to try to attack my wife and sully her. And you know what, that should be beneath Donald. But you know Chris, the reason he’s doing that? Is because he had a very bad night last night. He got clobbered in Utah. Remember Donald campaigned in Utah, he tried to win in Utah, and he got blown out of the water. And he is seeing Republican uniting behind our campaign.

He’s not wrong.

What is your opinion of Bobby Jindal endorsing Donald Trump...

(BTW, making up cute little names like “Devious Donnie” is a little juvenile...Just my opinion....)

Again, read the quote. He did not say let them back in!

I think having a merit system to determine who is let in legally is a good thing. That’s not what he said in his statement, however. Again, re-reread his statement. I guarantee you he’s not going to go through the process of deporting the “good ones” and bringing them back, even though that’s another thing he’s said in the past. Why go through all of that expense?

BTW, I am the anti-thesis of the union. I represent school districts, who fight teachers and classified employees, who are union members! You want to call me a Scott Walker when it comes to unions, that’s what I am.

You do realize that if American products cost more now, and you put tariffs on imports, there’s no way consumers will pay a lower price than they pay now? It doesn’t matter if you bring back jobs to the U.S. or not, the cost of goods will have to go up.

We seem to be in agreement about many of your points, some not so much agreement but clearly both of us want an able leader for our country and have spent time ascertaining who that might best be.

Ms Cruz deserves respect for her success and accomplishments as do her husband, Mr Trump and Melania Trump. I was responding to your comments not suggesting I faulted Ms Cruz for her success.

I do note that her expressed beliefs and goals are in my opinion very dangerous for Americans, threatening the sovereignty of America and the well-being of her citizens. When we can see the disaster that is the EU why any person would promote open borders and a North American Union is beyond my comprehension unless it is because of the wealth that could be generated for the elite.

I cannot agree with your assessment of Donald Trump and his political contributions and I think utilizing a more well documented and summary source as I did, rather than a few off the cuff words by Mr Trump, would better serve you for evaluation of the importance of these donations in the overall scheme of things.
Thank you for your courteous reply and may the best man win for all of our sakes.

I must apologize to you. My post was intended to illustrate the absurdity of expecting an opponent to be the one to denounce criticism or negativity directed at them by a third party. There are many organizations opposing Mr. Trump who are not supporters of Senator Cruz and he has no more responsibility to police their behavior than Mr. Trump has to police the behavior of people making unfair and untrue allegations about Mr. Cruz or his wife on this forum. Mr. Trump can take care of himself quite well. If the ad had been approved by Senator Cruz, that would be a different issue entirely.

After reading your reply, I understand that you must have some deep seated feeling about Senator Cruz that go beyond a political discussion. Again, I apologize for interfering with whatever your issue is.

Really? Because Deceptive Donnie NEVER does that, right???

Is he juvenile, too?

Where do you think I got the idea?

I’ll tell you what, when Deceptive Donnie stops calling Cruz “Lyin’ Ted” and making character assassinations of various Republican people, and freepers do the same, I’ll stop calling him Deceptive Donnie.

Sound like a plan?

BTW, I would much rather hear Deceptive Donnie’s strong stand on the issues and specific policies, then I would having to deal with all of this personal attack crap.

He has made that statement several times in the past describing his ideas concerning illegal aliens...it may not be that single statement, but he has made that comment several times...

The reason I asked about the union was your comment seemed to be anti “merit system”...

Cost may not go down, but JOBS will go up when it isn’t economical to continue to manufacture overseas and the companies return to the USA...

Hey diamond...Be as juvenile as you wish...I just thought I’d point out that probably to some, it takes away some credibility when stuff like that is done...

BTW, that also goes for Trump when he calls Cruz “Lyin’ Ted”.
That is also juvenile....

But hey, say what you want...

You don’t know how refreshing it was to receive your reply. Disagreeing without being disagreeable was once an expected thing but has of late become an endangered species (Without protection of the Endangered Species Act).

While I am hoping the best candidate with win, either will be good. Thanks and keep up the good fight.

I have to do something.

Hearing him and other freepers calling him “Lyin’ Ted” when I don’t think Cruz has done anything to warrant that moniker, really pisses me off.

Maybe if I say Deceptive Donnie enough times, it will start to become as well known to the public as Lyin’ Ted is now.

I’d be happy with a two man debate about the issues.

How about you?

There have been too many so-called debates already...I prefer each sounding out policy plans instead of fighting each other...

I would like them both to discuss their respective policies in a debate.

I don’t believe Trump has given much substance to his policies, but I would welcome the opportunity to hear about them.

O’Reilly is volunteering to moderate. I’d like Trump to agree to that.

I was responding to the claim that he didn’t “disassociate” himself from the PAC.

Now I have to explain why he needed to?

He didn’t have to do anything. They weren’t speaking for him.

But once again Deceptive Donnie was out to portray Cruz as Lyin’ Ted, as if he’s responsible.

I don’t feel that what they do is anything close to a real debate...It is more a contest to see who can piss off each the most and easiest...That includes the so-called “moderator” who usually has to inject themselves into the discussion as quickly and as forceful as possible...

As the campaigns progress and the really when the candidates from the two sides start their rallies, then the real substance of issues will emerge...

“You don’t fire all your ammunition at the beginning of a battle...”

Well, now we’re at the end of the battle. :-)

And I think O’Reilly will be fair.

Heidi Cruz is quoted saying: “If you can marry somebody that is complementary to your business, it’s great networking”. What do you think that means?

Mike Huckabee reference to Ted Cruz: “I just think it’s hard to say God is first in your life if He’s last in your budget. If I can’t trust God with a dime out of each dollar that I earn, then I’m not sure how I can tell him that I trust him with my whole life… To me, it’s a validation of a person’s stewardship and whether they put God first in their life, not just in their political endeavors”

Ted and Heidi: “I will readily admit that I have not been as faithful in this aspect of my walk as I should have been.”
“That article focuses on 10 years ago. We don’t have the ability to go back and change what occurred 10 years ago when Heidi and I were newly married and we’d just started a family. But at the end of the day, being a Christian is not about holding yourself out as righteous. It’s about beginning with the understanding that we are flawed sinners and we are saved not by deeds but by Christ’s redemption. I am grateful that God is a patient and forgiving God and this area, as in many areas of my life I am working to do a better job walking in my faith.”

What’s the definition of ‘hypocrisy’?

Heidi: “most of the things that Donald Trump says have no basis in reality”

Can’t help but be reminded of an attitude exemplified by Hilliary. Think there’s nothing ‘there’???
