I’m sorry but the true delusion rests firmly with the GOPe fanboys on FR.

I’m actually impressed at how well you have bullsh*tted yourselves. That is master level stuff right there.

-- I think the disagreement on mathematically eliminated actually comes from one saying "during the primaries" and the other saying "at the convention". --

I don't see it as a disagreement, just a pointing out that (regardless of the timing), one defintion is that mathematical elimination happens when one candidate gets to a majority, and another (the conventional) definition looks at the sum of delegates allocated and delegates available; and compares that total to a simple majority.

"If he did, he would have been out of the race already."

If he really cared about America he'd have made a deal with Trump for the VP spot as soon as it was clear Rubio would be stomped in Florida.

Ted's a hustler lawyer in a hurry, just without the ambulance chasing knee pads Edwards wore, and not much else.

Otherwise an extremely high probability of being President before he's 60 and getting a lot of good done between now and 2024 would be fine with him instead the drama queen race he and Beck are running in an effort for him to be President before he's 50 with a much lower probability of success. Well, unless for him success means having a nicer nest in the GOPe chicken coop.

So much for Ted being the smartest guy in the room. Had he thrown in with Trump, together they'd have as close to a sure thing as you can get in a Presidential election. Instead, Ted grabs for the brass ring of full partnership with the GOPe.

He'll be kissing and making up with Mr. Turtle any day now.

Daniel Horowitz has lost his mind. Trump is going to sweep the NE. He has big leads in all those states. Everybody knew Cruz was going to take WI its no surprise.

Your candidate is trailing badly, and is not likely to win many more states. He has virtually no chance of overtaking the leader. He’s hoping for a hail Mary at the convention. So far, he has been the loser. Time will tell if he makes that status more permanent.

Kasich and Rubio have between them about 300+ delegates. Excepting a party destroying brokering, neither will be on the front end of the ticket. Until the second round, their preference will not be considered. If no one gets a real majority, then we do not know who is the preference of the majority. Having so many candidates early on really messed up the ability to see the rank and file republican voters’ preference.

Trump is a billionaire, but Cruz is out maneuvering him in the case of contested convention. Crying about it is the mark of someone not ready for the leader of free world, as these are relatively simple exercises in the political world. Cruz can deal with them, and get results even if “everyone hates him”. Trump will go on television and whine about not winning by just talking about his desire. His way of dealing with failure is to re-frame the discussion on how he really “won”. And the one that got away was 6 foot long. It would have been the tastiest fish ever, and would have gutted itself so fast it could still jump onto the grill...if you would have just put your rent money on red 12...

Trump’s technique of demonizing his opponents is juvenile, untrue, unwarranted and bully like, obviously false, silly and may get him some places...but I would not trust him in any deal. He’s a liar. And there are a lot of FREEPERS emulating these techniques here.

It is not a long term strategy, and may be a short term skill with limited utility.
