Should Trump & Cruz be taking sides in Senate primaries? [vanity]

Posted on 04/27/2016 2:02:28 AM PDT by ObamahatesPACoal

Up to this point I think it may have been problematic if you had states where Trump & Cruz were 40/40.

So linking yourself to a national campaign may have had alienated all the cruzers or Trumpsters.

Like Stutzman or Todd Young (Indiana) could hitch themselves to one campaign.

Why doesn't Trump and Cruz both endorse Stutzman?

Rand Paul endorsed Stutzman for sure, but the Chamber of Commerce money is helping Young to enjoy a big lead for the race.

Trump is against wide open borders and Cruz says he’s on the same bandwagon theoretically in opposition to the business elites backing Young over Stutzman.

It begs questions.

Cruz needs to stand down, congratulate Donald Trump for the win, and end up on the Supreme Court.

He is accomplishing absolutely nothing, doing any more in this race now, except building up the GOPe.

He needs to stand down. Then become part of the winning team. He is a strong competitor, there is a place for him on the team.

Please keep anyone in DC away from Senate primaries. We want actual conservatives.

Trump has said it isn’t about him. It’s a movement. He should endorse and embrace anyone who ENTHUSIASICALLY AND TOTALLY jumps on the Trump Express SOON. Another advantage is those supporters could form an important coalition with Jeff Sessions to clean up the US Senate. There are a few in the HOR who could do the same and get backstabbers such as Ryan run out of power.

AMEN..... any role for Cruz is gone.....he's burned every bridge that ever existed in politics. Trump supporters want him nowhere near the U.S. Senate, and, least of all, the Supreme Court. His presence in the US, where he doesn't belong, is unnerving. Send him back to Alberta.

Cruz's vile senseless attacks on Trump were an indication of a disturbed mentality.....that of a back-stabber and sore loser. His entire campaign consisted of urinating in other candidate's punch bowls.

Whether or not Cruz was a conservative before this primary, it’s clear that he isn’t one now. There’s your answer.
