ESPN has issued new political and election guidelines for its employees that, while allowing for political discussion on the networks platforms, recommend connecting those comments to sports whenever possible. The new policies also provide separate guidelines for ESPN staffers working on news and those engaging in commentary.

I don’t watch sports to listen to political bull****. I watch sport to GET AWAY from all of the political bull****.

Watching ESPN is useless. Unless you want a double dose of their liberal political spin.

They need to clean house before it’s too late, maybe already is.

Related to political and social issues, our audiences should be confident our original reporting of news is not influenced by political pressures or personal agendas.LOL!!!!!

But does it recognize the connection between politicized sports and declining revenues?

No matter for this former sports nut. I’ll never watch ESPN again. Even if they were the only venue to televise the arrest and internment of every high profile liberal in America, along with the forfeiture of said liberal’s assets, I wouldn’t watch ESPN. Some things can’t be forgiven.

Watching ESPN is useless. If one watches games with the mute button on, it still is of some use.
But, their daily discussion shows are offensive and worthless.

What does any election have to do with sports reporting? ESPN is trying to give the appearance of dealing with their SJW problem but not really doing anything of note to curtail it.

while allowing for political discussion on the networks platforms, recommend connecting those comments to sports whenever possible. I last experienced this in the Soviet Union and China. In Marxist countries, politics must infuse literally everything in society. Lenin, Stalin, Mao said it is absolutely necessary to create a truly socialist society.
ESPN is following Leninist doctrine.

Any one else take note that it seemed like they had a third woman broadcaster in the booth since the season started? I can understand if its a business decision as a means of trying to ramp up women viewership of baseball but let’s be clear here. If all this is being done just to “diversify” the broadcast booth you risk losing loyal viewers if the quality of the product drops.

I was watching Paul Finebaum yesterday and he seemed shocked that people considered ESPN liberal!
That is the only show left on ESPN that I watch and even that is being taken over by anti-Trump trolls.
