WAY too late? NFL commish Roger Goodell describes what he’d like league to ‘stay out of’

NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell had a press conference today, and said the following:

NBC News ✔@NBCNews

NFL Commissioner Goodell: “What we’re trying to do is stay out of politics. We're not looking to get into politics"

2:20 PM - Oct 18, 2017

(snip)

Roger Goodell is a coward. Enforce the NFL anthem policy or not, sitting in the middle by saying people "should" stand is pathetic

It’s almost like Goodell’s playing politics by reacting that way!

To all,

It is even more ridiculous now.

Housing discrimination, gender pay gap reportedly two more reasons NFL players are taking a knee

I don't see any of these kneeling players and/or nfl personnel split their paychecks or opening up their own homes for the poor people they are championing for.

“After the first Colon Kapernick ‘protest’ he should have fined him $1000 and said “NO POLITICS ON THE FIELD””

What I hope does NOT happen is that Kapernick becomes a paid ‘spokesman’ for the new ‘activities’ the NFL is promoting.

“Then why do you have a political animal, Joe Lockhart,
as your spokesman?”

Bares Repeating. Why Goo dell, why? BTW anyone who is boycotting the NFL at this point, is not going back.

Goodell reminds me of the Mr.Krabs character on Spongebob here.

Mr. Krabs is being robbed and he says: "Take my money, just don't shoot me! Er... go ahead and shoot me, just don't take my money!"

Goodell is feckless!

I'm floored that the owners are *allowing* him to flush THEIR money down the drain.

Billionaires LOVE their money.

I’m sick of it all, as well.

Watching Astros and Yankees. Hoping Astros take the Yanks.

NFL is nothing but a joke, anymore. If the owners can’t see it, and won’t fire Goodell, then to heck with them. Who’ll fund NFL? Soros??

“Bullcrap!!! He just doubled-down on politics by organizing some sort of social justice conference.”

Thank you. For a minute I thought I had dreamed that bit of nonsense.

Steyn just eviscerated the NFL sitting in for Rush today. He correctly pointed out that the NFL fully intends to be a leftist org and are just doing a bad job of camouflaging it.

Kaepernick was never fined because leftists have completely infiltrated the corporate world that the NFL is a part of. Probably the smartest thing they ever did.

Colin, thanks to you as a BLM/NFL useless idiot, you woke Americans up to the NFL scam on our tvs and in our tax payer stadiums. Your contribution to Americans will be remembered, like 8 years of Obama and H. Clintoon's campaigning gave us President Trump!

NFL = NEW FAR LEFT!

More NFL teams renamed: Oakland Traitors, Baltimore Cravens, Buffalo Bolsheviks, Green Bay Pinkos, Washington Red Guards, Los Angeles Chekists, Jacksonville Jacobins.

The Dallas Cowgirl Pussies!

The real target is the black NFL players themselves. The Left is exploiting them in which their very livelihood would cease to exist. That means no more black millionaires.

If the NFL “take a knee” protest is not against the anthem or the United States and its military, then take a knee at the end of the first quarter.

Or outside the stadium after the game.

Liars.

I’m enjoying my Sundays so much better now anyway (the weather gets very nice in Arizona this time of year). I don’t think I’ll go back to watching these idiots. Don’t know why I wasted all of that time before, honestly. Don’t miss it a bit.

NFL Commissioner Goodell: “What we’re trying to do is stay out of politics. We're not looking to get into politics"

***************

What the Commissioner and the NFL needs to do is copy the NBA policy and make
that a part of each players contract.

...
(1) Each player when introduced, prior to the game, must be uniformly dressed.
(2) Players, coaches and trainers are to stand and line up in a dignified posture
along the sidelines or on the foul line during the playing of the National Anthem.
(3) Coaches and assistant coaches must wear a sport coat or suit coat.
(4) While playing, players must keep their uniform shirts tucked into their pants,
and no T-shirts are allowed.
(5) The only article bearing a commercial 'logo' which can be worn by players is their shoes.

are collectively saying a big F You to the fans.

That was my take away as well. Apparently, all of the fans viewing at the game and from home with a television do not count at all. Well, when the money dries up, we will see if reality hits. I am doubtful, as none of these players seem to be at all connected to reality.

I stopped watching, don't even watch the highlights on the newes; and, haven't really missed it at all. I don't need to be disrespected by a bunch of race-card playing thugs. Where would these people be if not for the NFL? Where would the NFL be without the fans?

At this point, it’s best to remove the anthem, flag and military from football. The NFL should instead dedicate the time to an “Air of Grievances” where they can all sound off about the ills of today’s society. That way they can protest with out insulting the flag and our country and dividing us further.
