With all of the disturbing news that we as a country have been constantly bombarded with, I have pretty much kept my opinions to myself, but, I’m going to let it fly today!! It seems that everywhere we look there is some type of debauchery, violence or just outright vulgarity and disrespect and I am so sick of it!! The ways that people find to abuse, mistreat and use other human beings and animals too, now that I’m at it, for their own selfish means, never ceases to amaze me!! When our society began this steep decline in basic civility is not really clear to me, but, it has to STOP!!!
Where have formerly common manners gone? My daddy would have knocked a man’s head OFF for speaking in a manner that people commonly speak now in front of a lady!! Now women even speak that way in public!! STOP IT!!
People walk around dressed looking like they just dragged something out of the bottom of the clothes hamper or just plain right out trashy or weird!! Make an effort people!! We all have eyes and what kind of example is that for our children? STOP IT!!!! Have some class!!!
Laziness and whining is a way of life to a lot of people!! STOP IT!! Get up and do something, STOP being pathetic!!
Undisciplined children are wreaking havoc in our schools and other aspects of society!! REIN THEM IN PEOPLE!!!!!
Violence is everywhere!! It’s heartbreaking to learn of yet another murder or murders or outright physical violence perpetuated on those weaker and it makes me sick!! STOP IT!!!! Life in all forms is precious, RESPECT IT!!!
There are so many people who are just users out there now!! Men and women!! I know men that routinely go around lying and deceiving and using women for money, etc. and some women are just as bad!!!! It is not okay to lie and use people for your own selfish gain and to keep up an image. If you can’t afford your vices and lifestyle, make some changes!! It is not okay to treat people like objects to use and throw away when their value to you has diminished. I know women who lie around doing nothing while their man works hard all day and comes home to a cold stove and no food and I know men who do the same thing!! That is not okay!! Don’t be a leach!! Show some appreciation and pull your own weight!! It is not okay to use people!! PERIOD!! STOP IT!!!!
Mental illness seems to have become pervasive in our culture. Why? Is it because so many have been abused as a child by perverts like those that have been brought to the forefront in our news at this time?? I think that has a lot to do with it!! STOP IT!!!!
Blatant disrespect to our police and military has been running rampant!! STOP IT!! Walk a mile in their shoes and then see what your attitude is!!
Nastiness has taken over our culture via all types of medium. You can have a difference of opinion with others without having it turn into something vile!!! We all have a right to our own opinion and inflicting ours on and insisting someone else conform to our particular view is wrong. STOP IT!!! LIVE AND LET LIVE!!!!!!
Before sharing a post or a news story, verify its accuracy!! There is so much fake news going around on all aspects!! STOP spreading it around!!!!! Don’t be a part of the problem!! It’s just stupid and it hurts people!! STOP IT!!!!!
So many are prone to air dirty laundry via social media and naming names to beat it all!! STOP IT!!! It’s classless and tacky!!!
Oh yeah and men need to stop being wusses too!! If you are, man up!!! Show some chivalry and you will be pleasantly surprised at the result!!
Our country needs to return to what used to be considered common decency, manners, civility, honor and respect!! We need to honor and thank GOD who has blessed us with this great country, even with all of its flaws, which we can fix!! We need to display kindness, goodness, discipline and love!! Demand EXCELLENCE of yourself!!!! The degradation of our society does not have to continue!! We need a great revival in this country and it can start with YOU!!! Buck up and pull your own weight! Stop being a leach if you are doing so!! Be responsible and take care of your own!! Help others when you can!! Have some class and demand excellence of yourself!!!! SMILE more and spread joy instead of drama!!! Lift others up instead of tearing them down!!! Be truthful and don’t gossip!!! Be nice!!!!! It’s not that hard people!! Our country needs to be a shining example to the rest of the world and we can’t be a good example if we are falling apart at the seams!! It starts with you and me!!! Get ON with it!!!! : )

If you let this wave of accusatory reports affect how you think about reality, then your ability to think independently is probably very minimal.
During the 1940s, we had WWII. People were on their knees praying for their sons, fathers and relatives that were fighting. The 50s were sort of that way as the US became THE world power. We had the revolution in the 60s where we were searching for the meaning of life. The 70s became a slippery slope,especially with the Roe/Wade case. It was the beginning of devaluing life and respect for others and a distinctive move against our Creator. It’s been downhill ever since and the further from Him we get, the faster we go. The further we get from God, the closer we get to the evil one and the more we behave that way. Read Galatians 5 for the differences. A reckoning is coming though.

The author makes some good points but loses me when she yells about people's trashy clothing in one paragraph, but screams that we should "live and let live" in another paragraph. "Live and let live, people! Unless I don't like your clothes!! In that case, clean up your freaking acts!!!!!"
The author needs to dial it down about 30 notches and drop the hypocrisy.

I’m trying to be a civilizing revolutionary in this society by dressing nicely, speaking respectfully, acting kindly. Maybe if every conservative would do that we could start a change in this country. And let’s pray for revival because it is a spiritual problem at heart.

It started with the 1960s and the Sexual Revolution, IMO. The only good thing to come out of that era was the music. No doubt this stuff was aided and abetted by the usual Marxist suspects.
This sudden trend in women accusing men is an attempt to create a new narrative.
Don’t let it affect the way you think, the way you speak or the way you behave.
The only guide for behavior is the word of God.
We have lived south of Houston and east of Los Angeles, back and forth five times, since 1973. So when we retired we built our dream home 11 miles outside of the nearest large town. We are out in the boondocks. LOVE IT! Surrounded by trees, coyotes, deer, etc. If we don’t want to see other people out here, we don’t have to. Going into town is a town of 6000 people and one stop light... Heavenly!
Sudden trend? My brother in law tried to rape me when I was about 12 years old. My cousin molested me when I was just five and had NO idea what he was doing to me. There were several other incidents like these that happened to me when I was younger. I worked at a bank in the mid 70s and one of the bosses would come up behind me and grab me around the waist. Another boss would talk dirty to me, tell me filthy jokes, then when I was shocked, and didn’t laugh, he would say, “I feel sorry for your husband, you are frigid” No, I was NOT frigid, I was a newlywed and this boss was an old creep. I quit that job. There was another similar job where the boss was a creep, I quit that job, too. Back then, 1970s, there was no HR department to go to. You just put up with this crap or quit the job. No new narrative. I didn’t press charges because I didn’t want to go to trial. I walked away from perfectly good jobs, to get away from creepy bosses. I hope and pray that my granddaughters don’t have to put up with crap like this. But this kind of harrassment and attempted rap, is not a new narrative. Women are finally coming forward.
Entropy.
Things just get worse until it fails. Dies. Then it decays, then it disappears into the ground.
Only two creatures on the planet repair things. Humans and Beavers. A cat knocks a chair down, and it will never, ever pick it up. The natural tendency of.. well.. nature is to fall down.
We’re losing that humanity, and we’ve stopped repairing things. Only one thing is left - it will all die and need to be reborn.
There is a casualness to society that doesn’t offend me. I don’t want to have that mixed in with violence and abuse.
Also, women were abused and raped as were children all throughout history, but often had no recourse. Today we hear about these things and we allow victims to talk about what happened to them, and society supports victims today.
There has always been evil and there will be evil for some time longer. We are dealing with it BETTER. We don’t tell a child to hush up about what Uncle John did to her any more. Things are actually getting BETTER.
