They could really double down on their SJW stuff by having a tranny only swimsuit edition.

How appropriate. An award named after a draft dodger given to an American hater.

LOL - good one!

Two thoughts:

It may be real, (and if so is exceptionally stupid from a business standpoint,) but;

1: Not seen elsewhere.

2: Magazines exist for one purpose: to make money for the people who own the magazine. The SI readership base is not Black, nor are the men and women who buy advertising in magazine. Ad buyers would, simply as a matter of business, run away from SI in subsequent issues. And that is in a world where a gain or drop of 1% in circulation is important.

Years ago, gross circulation was important. Now, it’s all demographics and although they will not discuss it, the economic and racial make up of their readers is much more important than gross circulation. How to they tell economic and race? By the zip codes of subscribers.

SI’s subscriber base is not in Harlem, Southside, nor Inglehood.

A magazine subscriber base that gives SI it’s highest circulation of the year for it’s “swimsuit” (translation=nearly naked ladies) issue is not going to be hot for CK.

Or if this is real, the SI editors were very stupid, and since they are NYC based “journalists”, they probably are.

It’s like the NFL. If they think TV ratings and empty seats are bad now, wait until they try to sell those expensive season tickets next year, )and that’s where the real revenue is,) to a bunch of POed rich white guys.

I’ll bet good tee-times are a lot harder to get next Sundays during the fall!

Be well.

I may be entirely wrong. USAToday has story too.

https://www.usatoday.com/story/sports/nfl/2017/11/30/colin-kaepernick-selected-sports-illustrated-muhammad-ali-legacy-award-winner/909273001/

Which may prove how stupid SI editors are.

If it's true, the Suits (the business/advertising sales/ownership) types are going to be screaming at the Pencil Geeks (editorial types) on Monday.

I would not respect any conservative-minded Sports Illustrated subscriber who did not immediately cancel his subscription (assuming that this article is true).

In January of this year, die Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung (which used to be one of the few reputable and right-leaning newspapers in Germany) repeated the perfidious canard about Pres. Trump "intentionally mocking handicapped people" (when we all know that he was merely mocking some smug idiot who only happened to also be handicapped).

My 35 years of faithful readership came instantly to an end.

All conservative-minded subscribers to Sports Illustrated should act likewise.

Regards,

LOL! Kind of reminds one of the La Brea Tar Pits... The last dying gasps and such.

In this case though, the NFL and Kaepernick dug their own graves.

Colin should have consulted with his adoptive parents.

Although, they are white, IIRC, so what of any importance would they have to say? /s

Other than to behave and thank his lucky stars he is in such a position and to not bite the hand that feeds you.

My dog learned that long ago. If she gets territorial about food, I will take it out of her mouth. No rewarding bad behavior; she needs to know who’s boss. And now she will never cross a threshold before me. Particularly into the kitchen. LOL!

Now I have to (retroactively? proactively?) wash my hands. LOL!!! ...

Me, I’ve put Krapernicks face on the bottom of my special dog park sneakers. To all dogs everywhere, give one up for Krapernick.

LOL, literally! Dog parks across America will get some traffic and there will be lots of happy pups... :)

Our Black Lab loves the off-leash dog park we have here. The people go for a walk, the dogs get to run and smell each other’s behind...Heaven for everyone. LOL!

So do I, seriously. He was as entertaining as the game.
Wonder what he would say now.

I have always admired Muhammad Ali's abilities as a fighter but for the life of me, I can't think of one thing he did to make America a better place. In fact in helping to mainstream Islam (along with Lew Alcindor), it can be argued that few athletes have ever done more to undermine America.

Well he definitely made my Sundays better. No longer do I waste a perfectly good Sunday afternoon watching football on TV. Last Sunday I went hiking in the woods.
