Bunkerville Standoff: New Hampshire House Rejects Pardon Resolution For Jerry DeLemus

Last Thursday (March 15th) the New Hamsphire legislature rejected a motion to call for a presidential pardon for Jerry DeLemus in connection with the Bunkerville Standoff.

In early 2016 DeLemus was co-chair of the Veterans Coalition for Donald Trump in the New Hampshire Primary.

Jerry was pictured with his wife Susan DeLemus, then a member of the State House, and Mr. Trump.

After the primary, DeLemus was arrested in an early morning raid by federal marshals and ended up in a prison in Nevada.

He was pressured into a guilty plea-plea deal and agreed to it.

But later he wanted to withdraw but was unable to.

DeLemus was given an 87 month sentence last year by US District Judge Gloria Navarro, who branded him a "vigilante bully" at sentencing.

Jerry DeLemus was sent to the Devens federal prison in Massachusetts, the same lockup where former Congressman Anthony Weiner is serving a much lighter sentence.

This turn of events reminds us of the need for President Donald J. Trump to pardon Jerry DeLemus.

Sheriff Joe Arpaio, who helped President Trump in Arizona during its primary in 2016, received his pardon for the charges leveled against him by the Obama Administration's Justice Department.

Jerry helped President Trump in New Hampshire and it only seems appropriate if nothing else for such a pardon to be granted.

Isn’t Navarro the judge who hates white conservatives?

She called him a ‘bully’? What did he do to merit being labeled a ‘bully’?

Does he have support among the population in NH?

Can his Congress member make inquiries? Intervene? Petition the President?

I don’t recall him as having done anything violent. Did he receive 8 years prison for non-violent protest? Sounds excessive.

From what I can gather, the severity of his sentence was due to the fact that he crossed state lines to engage in what was being called an unlawful action, he took a leadership position in the activities, and the judge’s opinion that he was “unrepentant.”

He plead guilty: "conspiracy to commit an offense against the United States and interstate travel in aid of extortion". Hard to claim civil disobedience when you show up brandishing weapons and organized an armed resistance over the course of a month. As the judge says, he was a "a bully vigilante". No different than Black Panthers outside of Philly voting stations intimidating people, or Antifa, or others. All belong in jail.

Oh it’s you again you claim they all deserve to be in jail and just seem to love the fascist government attorney that lied and hid evidence

The guy plead guilty. He admitted his actions. He was unrepentant. Actions have consequences. Besides, the judge was generous and gave him the low end of the requested prison sentence. The real injustice is the Bundy thieves did not get convicted, one is even wasting time and money now supposedly running for governor here in Nevada. What a pathetic joke.

In the face of a stacked deck, by unethical prosecutors and a corrupt judge. So why wouldn't he be unrepentant?

You do love federal jackboots and their corrupt courts though, don't you.

As I've written in previous threads, I like the rule of law, I respect our constitution and laws, I served in the military, and I think anyone that takes up arms against the US, that incites others to do so, deserves whatever they get. He should count himself lucky that he was not shot and killed. I sure wouldn't lose any sleep over it. We should have zero tolerance for anyone threatening us and our government.

If he had a beef with our government, there are ample ways to address that. Taking up arms, inciting others to do so, is not one.

Bet you object with Antifa and others take up arms and incite others to do so, right? Why should this be different?

.. and I think anyone that takes up arms against the US..

They defended their property from the BLM jackboots like Danny Love, they didn't "take up arms against the US".

If he had a beef with our government, there are ample ways to address that.

Sure, as long as money is no object. Because the feds never run out of it and the corrupt courts are on their team.

..I served in the military..

So did Wesly Clark. He loves government jackboots too.

Bet you object with Antifa and others take up arms and incite others to do so, right? Why should this be different?

It is pretty damn lame to compare commie agitators who loot and burn to these people.

He didn’t know about all the evidence hidden by the prosecutors and cited by Judge Navarro in her January 8th ruling this year.

Navarro called what Steve Myhre and the other prosecutors did a “willful” withholding of evidence.

He stood around the ranch providing security in essence.

Judge Navarro seemed pretty disgusted with the government going back to the fake claim that the desert tortoise was endangered.

Would any of the so-called secret evidence change the fact that he traveled there, took up arms, served as an armed participant for a month, organizing the armed activity, admitted to it, and said he would do it again? Actions have consequences, he got what he deserved, should feel lucky he still alive. If he thinks he has a case for appeal, go for it. If you want to defend him so much, send in your money. For me, I think justice is served. So apparently, did the folks back home.

New Hampshire? Of course. It's filled with Massachusetts liberals who are trying to avoid the taxes of Massachusetts.

I knew Jerry and Sue a few years ago. They are both a little nutty but not a danger to the union. Sue is convinced that jets are leaving chemical trails full of drugs to subjugate the population and Jerry ended up on the Bundy farm. On the other hand, I would trust either of them with everything I own.

A pardon is in order.

The withheld evidence included the BLM-FBI documentation of their deployment around Bundy Ranch in early April 2014 with a surveillance camera and plenty of snipers.

The Bundy’s message to the public was that snipers were around the ranch and they felt threatened.

That’s why people showed up to exercise their Second Amendment rights along with their First Amendment rights at the protest.
