".... POTUS as an outsider has the moral high ground...."

Roger that.

Joe Biden has been an insider in leadership positions for the government for 40 years. Unless we want to got back to the "new normal" bad economy that Obama gave us, he's not the one.

Joe Biden is not the solution. He is the problem.

You depressed? Yeah. Kinda.

How about you? Feeling fine.

And you? Tipity top for me.

Ok. Your turn. How you feeling? What is it with you and all this feelz crap? Just shut up already.

How you feeling? Grand. Why you ask? You writing a book or somethin’?

Ok. Polled my personalities and the only depression is from my depressive personality and its always depressed.

So, verdict is Nope.

I was about to post exactly the same words. I’m angry at these highly paid bureaucrats who think they know more than we do . I’m sick of them telling us when we can resume our normal lives while their restrictions have little impact on them.
Wow, we may be able to get our haircut next week, how kind of them. Eat outside a restaurant? You’ll have to wait until we decide it’s safe. I am sick of these people.

As a believer, I’m using this artificially induced lockdown as a time to reflect.

November 2020 is a lifetime away. As this pandemic has has shown, you can never anticipate what will happen next week never mind 5 months from now.

Trump isn't out of it by a long shot.

Andrew Solomon, the author of The Noonday Demon: An Atlas of Depression, groups people based on four basic ways they’re responding to the current crisis. Two are straightforward. In the first are people who are drawing on huge stockpiles of resilience and truly doing okay. When you ask how they feel and they say “eh, fine,” they actually mean it.

That would be me.

“New Normal” is especially offensive..”

Pisses me off too. Same crap they pulled with homosexual marriage, transexual acceptance, Obama’s mediocre economy, etc. F them.

Agree completely. I’m an optimist by nature but a realist as well.
There is many a slip betwist cup & lip.
That said I am counting on DJT to bring it home for America in November and I am going to do my small part everyday to help make that happen.

New normal affects me just as viscerally as press 1 for English.
Who are you to declare my Country is going to be forever changed?

Welbutrin was prescribed to me 20 years ago & I took it for a few weeks.
I gained 30 lbs within a month & my ability to poop shut down completely & landed me in the hospital.
Point being, if it works for you, great.
But for many people, side effects of antidepressants can be horrific. Extreme weight gain (without overeating) is common, & the medical industry doesn’t seem to think this is a problem.

In today’s lockdown covid mania, people experiencing sudden, severe side-effects will be non-prioritized, told to stay home & try to monitor their own selves.
The result could be fatal.

Gee, Larry, why don’t you get off your butt & come over to my house?
I could probably overlook your insufferable cheerfulness in exchange for some help doing those exact same things over here. :-)

Really? Sniffles? Are our elderly in nursing homes dying of “sniffles”? Where do you suppose those elderly got those “sniffles” from?

The average lifespan of somebody who becomes a resident of a nursing home wasn't EVER long.

I don't know if it is like that all over, but my brother said the nursing home near where he lives not only doesn't allow visitors, they don't even allow the residents to eat or get together in common areas. Their food is delivered to their rooms. Basically, they're keeping them in solitary confinement, possibly for the rest of their lives, whether it is this new virus or something else that pushes them over the edge.

If you'd have some loved one in a nursing home, would you prefer that they live a few more months, in isolation, or would you rather that they have the opportunity for family to come to say their goodbyes when the time is near and be with them when they pass?

As a person who has been treated for major depression, etc., most of my life I am actually doing a bit better than usual.

“Is Everyone Depressed?”

I don’t know if EVERYONE is depressed, but for sure at least 17% of The Atlantic staff is depressed since they just got laid off; probably not doing the remaining staff much good either ...

Exactly.....I'm not falling in line to ‘their’ New Normal crap. I make decisions on my own and protection if and when I think it's necessary in all areas of my life. But I won't pound on those who want to stay home or choose to make whatever choices they make to be or feel safe either.

Freedom to choose is everyones right!
