Portland Mayor Ted Wheeler’s progressive delusions seem to have gotten worse since he was tear-gassed while being at the riot as other rioters were trying to set fire to the federal courthouse.
Wheeler now wants to talk with the DHS about negotiating a “ceasefire” and the removal of increased federal law enforcement agents from Portland.
Commissioner @JoAnnPDX and I are calling for an immediate meeting with Department of Homeland Security leadership on the ground in Portland and with Acting Secretary @DHS_Wolf to discuss a cease-fire and the removal of heightened federal forces from Portland.

So, the man who let the anarchists get out of hand for the past 60 days, who has done nothing substantial to curtail their attacks on the federal courthouse and federal agents, seems to be negotiating the “war” on their behalf, seemingly asking the federal government to give in to the terrorism that has been going on for weeks by leaving.

Sounds like it. He is asking for the Federal force surrender.
It would be good to negotiate a reasonable option in public to prove to the world that the rioters/vandals/thugs/antifa are really in control and that local government has no control over them.
There is a simple federal position, “Have local law enforcement stop all damage to federal property, and regain control of the safety of the population from lawlessness.”
Publicly, the fed’s should get a written and public notification that if Portland law enforcement can not fulfill these requirements that they fully request federal assistance.
Dems are saying that if the Federal officers leave the ‘peaceful’ protesters that are being provoked to violence will eventually get bored and go home.
They are saying that NOW at the Barr House hearing.
He joined the riots so he could breathe in some tear gas and claim to be tear gassed and play the poor innocent victim of the evil Donald Trump. Obviously he was going to blame the riots on Trump.
The entire democrat party is fully responsible for the murders, rapes, thefts, arson and destruction of property.
Bring your resignation, Ted. This is not a negotiation, it’s a surrender.

Maybe DHS could meet with Wheeler after they arrest him and detain him in Gitmo for insurrection, sedition and fomenting riots? I’m sure they would have plenty of time to chat then.
