It’s just status quo Lori Lightfoot style in Chicago. – It was just another weekend with dozens of shootings and deaths on the streets of Chicago, with almost all of the victims being African American. But these are black lives that don’t matter to Black Lives Matter or communist Democrat Mayor Lori Lightfoot, whose polices led directly to a whopping 139% increase in shootings during July.
One of the victims this weekend sadly included a 9 year-old child.

I’ve said from day one that the responsibility for the problems in each of these democrat run cities lie at the feet of the Police Chief and Mayor. And responsibility for the Mayor lie at the feet of the Voters.
i.e. I blame the people of Portland for the rioting there, and I blame the people of Seattle for Chop, etc. That is why I left the Seattle area. Nobody I voted for ever won. The only solution was to leave - just like a lot of German Jews did in the 30’s.
They left while there was still time to leave. I’m very glad that you made it out. There will remain those, who like you, see it as you do. They lack the ability to leave for one reason or another. My tears are for the elderly and the young and the impoverished who are without an escape from the coming doom. May God have mercy and give them strength to endure.
Police Chiefs and mayors are NOT equals. The mayor is the duly elected leader of a city. And that’s where the fault lie with these messed up democrat hellholes.
The New York Police force - possibly the best trained in the world - weren’t even allowed to protect their police cars from being burned by rioters. A ‘stand down’ order can come in many forms but it must be followed.
You made the right choice - got out of the democrat run hellhole - but if democrats take over the country where will all of us be able to escape to?
