Thank Dems for the Barrett Nomination
Among the reasons President Trump has reportedly decided to appoint Amy Coney Barrett to the Supreme Court is that the Democrats already attempted to “Bork” her, but failed, and disgraced themselves in the process while elevating her public profile.
Think I exaggerate? Check out this Tweet from Center for American Progress far-leftist Ian Millhiser:
You can expect a lot of news reports over the next few days to re-run Sen. Dianne Feinstein attacking Barrett’s Catholic faith in Barrett’s confirmation hearings to the 7th Circuit Court of Appeals three years ago. It will not be a good look for Democrats if they reprise this attack, but I’m betting they won’t be able to help themselves. I hope Barrett quotes John F. Kennedy back to them.
There is apparently a lot of rumbling among liberals along Millhiser’s lines. Politico reported Thursday:
Democrats worry Feinstein cant handle Supreme Court battle
As the Senate prepares for yet another brutal Supreme Court nomination fight, one particularly sensitive issue is creating apprehension among Democrats: what to do with 87-year-old Sen. Dianne Feinstein, the ranking member of the Judiciary Committee.
Feinstein, the oldest member of the Senate, is widely respected by senators in both parties, but she has noticeably slowed in recent years. Interviews with more than a dozen Democratic senators and aides show widespread concern over whether the California Democrat is capable of leading the aggressive effort Democrats need against whoever President Donald Trump picks to replace the late Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg.
Feinstein sometimes gets confused by reporters questions, or will offer different answers to the same question depending on where or when shes asked. Her appearance is frail. And Feinstein’s genteel demeanor, which seems like it belongs to a bygone Senate era, can lead to trouble with an increasingly hard-line Democratic base uninterested in collegiality or bipartisan platitudes.
Just this week, Feinstein infuriated progressives after declaring her opposition to ending the Senates legislative filibuster a top goal of party activists if Democrats win full control of the Congress and White House in November. Some on the left called on her to resign over the comments, although other Democratic moderates have expressed similar views. . .
A Democratic senator, speaking on the condition of anonymity, said a group of Feinsteins colleagues want Sen. Dick Durbin (D-Ill.) or Sheldon Whitehouse (D-R.I.) to serve as the top Democrat on the Judiciary panel for the upcoming nomination hearings, which are expected to be extraordinarily contentious. This senator is worried that potential missteps by Feinstein could cost Democrats seats.
Shes not sure what shes doing, the Democratic senator said of Feinstein. If you take a look at Kavanaugh, we may be short two senators because of that. And if this gets [messed] up, it may be the same result.
Order up some extra popcorn.
P.S. Remember that Kamala Harris is on the Judiciary Committee. Chances she’ll grandstand bigly in the Barrett hearings: 100%.
UPDATE: Here’s Judge Barrett arriving back home at South Bend this evening. She’s trolling the libs hard herethat’s a Whole Foods bag she has in her hand! Millions of grumpy woke Whole Foodies will be even grumpier now.

Like I said on another thread. McConnell needs to nip this crap in the bud and move to a vote as soon as possible.

Judge Barrett goes to Whole Foods? But don’t liberals love Whole Foods; wouldn’t that score virtue signaling brownie points in her favor?????
I think it’s amusing to think, that the liberals are all about women’s rights, women’s advancement, women’s empowerment, etc. But I have feeling that the liberals are NOT going to consider this nominee as representing advancement for women, or a giant step forward for women’s professional advancement, or a signal to girls as to what they can aspire to someday.

#1 A demonrat cannot be disgraced, they are already the lowest of low life there is.
#2 A demonrat knows no shame, they will abort, murder anybody to get their way.

She has already been vetted.
Give each member of the committee 5 minutes to speak then vote.

Yes they should.
One of the shortcomings of the Kavanaugh hearings, in my opinion, was that we went through a week of hearings, where Corey Booker auditioned for the part of Spartacus, and the raucous audience interrupted things, etc. But then, before they could proceed to a final vote, they orchestrated this “shocking” new evidence against Kavanaugh, so then we have to have more delays and hearings, as they investigate the new shocking sexual misbehavior allegations.
That should be nipped in the bud. I would love for Lindsay Graham to announce on day 1 of the hearings, that ALL scandalous information needs to be disclosed right now, or else will not be considered in the evaulation of a nominee.
This business of going through hearings, and wasting everyone’s time, as was done with Kavanaugh, because they were holding onto a hand grenade to be tossed into the proceedings later, needs to stop.

I go to Whole Foods. Dont like the atmosphere but certain health issues I have require that or online shopping (I do both).
I freak them out there. I dress deplorably.

When you attack someone’s Catholic faith, you are an enlightened progressive.
When you attack Feinstein’s Jewish faith, you are a right-wing extremist bigot.

DiFi has become a frail old lady, who should be enjoying her great grandkids.
We saw Barbara Boxer’s brain deteriorate in her tv appearances until her staff stopped them
Pelosi’s behavior is now like a hostile child trapped in an old adult’s body.

Exactly. In the disordered leftist mind the question is why did she have all these children, contributing to overpopulation and further damaging dear mother earth. What does she have against abortion?! She’s an irresponsible global citizen! Also, she believes the husband is head of the family. What a dangerous lunatic!
That’s what passes for their thinking during these dark times.

Funny how the Left is quick to mention Joementia’s Faith as a practicing Catholic isn’t it?
Joementia supports Infanticide, but he is a practicing Catholic who won’t let his Faith influence his quest to defend the Murder the Unborn.
He is so empathic you know, not like that mean uncaring Orange Man. (Rolls eyes)

I’m glad that democrats are having a fit over this woman. As always, they truly hate good people and love evil people.
Hoping dems fill millions of barrels of Depends. They deserve it for what they did to Kavanaugh.
Nominate her, confirm her within one week. Do it, and do not be intimidated. They will invent some major lie at the last minute. Ignore it.

Since every democrat has already declared a NO vote, there really is no excuse for hearings except to examine her judicial record since her appellate appointment for which she was vetted and confirmed.
No public burning at the stake please.
