IF Trump started a new party, would you join?

If Trump were to create a new party, would you join?

I keep hearing how bad it would be and how it would 'split the vote' and hand the victory to the Democrats.

I disagree, because I think a majority of people would go with Trump.

There is currently about 25% of the country registered as GOP. That's about 80 million people.

If Trump formed a new party I would think nearly everyone who voted for him (over 70 million) would join. Plus some disillusioned Democrats AND some independents.

That would make the new party bigger than the old GOP. Their funding would dry up overnight.

The current GOP is not just office holders- there are huge bureaucracies of party officials. If NY GOP is any example, they seem to think they have permanent sinecures and the party funds are for them to host social gatherings.

I would assume if President Trump were thinking about forming another political party that he would publish a document outlining in detail the party’s stance on various issues.

Assuming I agreed with those stances and assuming those stances included term limits, yes I’d join.

Would want to see the total platform but I’m open to the idea. I want to play for a team that wants to win.

The GOP and DNC would work to keep it off of ballots just as the DNC successfully kept the Green Party off the ballot in certain states.

The Green party as with libertarians never had the support of 80 million people. Time for a change. What do we want? losing Republicans or a fighting chance.?

To those arguing they wouldn’t join because it would mean Democrats winning - what do you get from “Republicans” winning ? Your label on the jerseys of the winning team ?

If the platform, and I’d insist on a platform, specifically opposed abortion of all kinds and opposed special and marriage rights for homosexuals, then probably.

Bush League Republicans hold all the levers of power within the GOP, they collude with Democrats to defeat conservatives when we get one nominated.

"Yes! And if all 74 million Trump voters went with him the GOP would be toast."

And if they all registered as '(D)' the DNC (as we know it) would be soon to follow.

The GOP just helped the Democrats cheat out the best President we’ve had in decades.
The GOP is dead, whether you dead enders accept it or not.
Maybe the wipeout in 2022 will convince you.

It is clear there is a strong cadre of rump Republicans that would rather keep the status quo then have the middle class and workers organize and form a new MAGA party. This would derail the Cheap Labor Express. These are the same people that hate unions and love all forms of immigration.
