January 6 political prisoner Ryan Samsel has been held in prison without trial now since January 2021.

During his two-and-a-half years without trial Ryan has been moved around to 17 different facilities. Ryan has been beaten, abused, tortured, and neglected since his arrest in January 2021.

Earlier this week The Gateway Pundit received exclusive photos from Ryan Samsel’s prison cell at the FDC in Philadelphia. The cell was a size of a closet with a light on all of the time. The cell had a thin blue mattress, no sheets or blankets, no clothing, and he was kept here for five months straight.

The photos are just shocking. This is taking place in America today. This is who we are.

The conditions at most urban center jails are this bad.

You should talk to defense attorneys and public defenders. The stories are not far from this.

The whole bail reform issue has been implemented horribly—but it’s these conditions that started the whole thing.

This is an opportunity for people who never experience these types of things to realize that “they” are the lucky ones. We don’t commit stupid crimes, and if we stray on occasion we have the means to get good attorneys and make bail.

I am not suggesting g what is happening to this guy is “good”, but it is not rare or unusual.

Six by eight in older federal prisons is the norm for the hole and often just regular cells on that tier

Here is a short list of Samsel’s alleged extensive criminal history, per Levittown Now:
In 2006, Samsel allegedly attempted to pull a woman off the road because she owed him $60, and then allegedly punched her windshield and threatened to kill her.
In 2007, Samsel allegedly got into a man’s car and assaulted him in the face, leaving him toothless and bloodied, police said.
In 2009, Samsel was convicted on simple assault, after he choked, beat, pushed, and chipped the teeth of a woman he kept against her will for five hours.
In 2011, Samsel was convicted of simple assault, reckless endangerment and more after smashing a hot pizza in his pregnant girlfriend’s face, beating her, pouring beer over her head, and then throwing her into a canal. He then attempted to drown her, police said.
In 2015, Samsel was convicted of simple assault for choking a woman into unconsciousness and hit her so hard he gave her a hematoma, police said.
In 2019, a woman accused Samsel of choking her until unconscious, then breaking into her home and assaulting her, and then raping her, police said.

Because (and this is going to sound very MA liberal) most people don’t care. If you heard that some drug dealer, up on distribution and assault charges was held without bail in an old and crowded facility waiting 18 months for their trial…would you care?

I doubt it. I wouldn’t either. I didn’t. Until a family member who is a public defended started telling me the stories. And my county has new jails.

So, that’s why this has gone on for a long time without anyone noticing.

Ryan described the same situation in Virginia, “It was Central Regional Virginia Jail (CVRJ). I was kept in and they called it booking hard cell, which is you get zero phone, zero commissary, zero clothing because they think that you’re going to hang yourself and you’re on constant surveillance. You’re under surveillance constantly. The light has to be on 24/7. You’re locked in a cell. There is no getting out. The windows in Virginia were covered by a black mat, so you weren’t able to see. And it’s constant nothing. It’s deprivation of everything.”
