According to Colonel Earl Matthews, who testified before Congress in April, US military leaders revoked President Trump’s Commander-in-Chief powers that day and refused to move in the National Guard.

Donald Trump’s authority as commander-in-chief was ignored by senior military leadership on January 6, 2021, claims the chief legal advisor for D.C. National Guard on that day.
He claims that Mark Milley, Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff at the time, and then-Army Secretary Ryan McCarthy, were plotting to disobey any orders handed down by Trump because they ‘unreasonably’ assumed the then-president was going to break the law and try to use the D.C. National Guard (DCNG) to stop certification of the 2020 presidential election results.
A lot has been made about the breakdown in military and administration communication when it came to the timeline of deploying DCNG to the Capitol.
But Matthews claims senior military leadership was solely focused on getting the heat off of them and putting it back onto Trump.

I thought Ms. Milly calling China to say he’d coordinate with them if Trump launched nukes was bad enough...but that was just talk. This action affected what happened that day. Bastards!

Let’s use the tactics (tricks of the human psych)) that the Dems/Liberals use constantly on us.
When we say TREASON the mind really doesn’t latch onto and understand exactly what that means or entails.
Now, you say the word MUTINY (and these being members of the military running the SHIP of the U.S.) the human mind understands what MUTINY means. Most Americans have seen the movie MUTINY ON THE BOUNTY so the mind has a solid reference chock full of emotion which it can lock onto.
MUTINY, MUTINY, MUTINY. Everyone switch to using this word and it will have an effect. The rank and file of the military branches will be attracted to the concept of the crime being MUTINY, much more than if we keep calling it Treason.

The correct answer to this would be immediate relief from their positions. If they sat in their offices and did nothing the president could give them an order to perform their jobs and when they failed to comply, relieve them.

IMO, he doesn't say anything during the campaign. Those are two different battles involving two different battlefields. You may be unintentionally setting an insurmountable barrier for candidate Trump.
Only a future R president will be motivated and able to effectively seek justice in this instance. To campaign on the issue for election to that office will unnecessarily incur the utmost opposition of the political left and its 24/7 MSM.
As it stands, at the moment it is perhaps only one man's factually unsupported opinion that Milley and then-Army Secretary McCarthy were plotting to disobey any orders handed down by Trump.
These two experienced actors almost certainly didn't leave any credible evidence of their intentions behind. It sounds at best like an uphill battle.

This all started getting totally out of control under Obama.
There were always political games where agencies and departments do their masters bidding and screw the opposition or new guy... Under Obama things became far worse and took on proportions not even imaginable prior.
The DOJ where I worked was obvious. The emphasis (priorities) changed, policies were changed, recruiting heavily focused on getting more diverse folks hired and in leadership. The mere term GWOT was banished from the bureaucratic language as were any references to Islamic terror etc.
He wasn’t kidding when he said he would fundamentally transform this nation and government.
The DOD apparently suffered the same fate.
They have no such constitutional powers.
