Congrats go out to President Bush, Carl Rowe and the rest of the RNC.

While the press is fawning or Kerry's prosecutor style and possible win. The have overlooked the ROYAL FLUSH, President Bush just handed Carl Rowe and the RNC.

Bush played possum, dumb, etc. He kept repeating to was a man of conviction, and that Kerry was Flip Flopping, Flop Flipp'in.

The more Bush did this and the more Bush did not challenge him directly....Kerry got bold.

He kept talking about where he had been, what he had done., and what he would do.

He stepped in a big pile of COW Shi_! 1. Mistated the name of KGB building. 2. Said he would give IRAN Nuclear Fuel! 3. Flip Flopped on Iraq multiple times. 4. Lied about calling Bush a Liar. 5. Lied about Subway in NYC closing down. 6. Stated he would not go to war without GLOBAL blessing. 7. on and on!!

Carl Rowe has enough material to bury KERRY with WORDS out of his own mouth.

BUSH GAVE KERRY THE SPOTLIGHT AND SHOVEL AND KERRY BURIED HIMSELF.

Please do not post commentary on the debates from your blog as breaking news. It's not. It's at best your op-ed.

Please remove this vanity post to front page or editorials section, it is NOT breaking news.

I am listening to the debate on C-span. YOu might want to watch it again. I thought President Bush did very well. PErhaps you were expecting Bush to clobber Kerry--You know all the arguments they made I had heard before except for the global test that Kerry mentioned.

And tho he had a what people call a smirk, he smiled when he started speaking. What was coming out of Kerrys mouth was pure garbage and I think I would purse my lips as well having to swallow such nastiness.

Before you go off the deep end, please ask yourself a simple question:

Can ANY human being on the planet explain John Kerry's "one" position on Iraq?

I think Bush has a nervous stuttering problem that is a physical problem I stated on another thread there must be a medicinal therapy to help him at times like tonight.

It appears the way you posted but I think it is just a glich he has as we all have gliches just some are more noticable than others.

I believe it is all straight in his mind but stuttering gets in the way.

He just lost 5 points in his lead; there's a big difference between a leader and an articluate speaker without sustance...e.g. clinton. That said, JoeSixPak and Soccor Mom believe what sounds good. They have no concept of a leader who may not be schmoozer from a competenant manager who doens't talk well, but does the walk.

I think you're completely off base. Bush's base is solid and he's not losing what he has. Flash polls have aleady shown that.

Secondly, the average American doesn't want to be finessed. He-of-the-manicured hand is definitely a finesser. Gore "won" the first debate, too -- but the people preferred Bush. That, in a nutshell, is how this is shaking out so far.

I didn't think Bush did as bad as some people think. He was more direct on some answers than Kerry. I'm still trying to figure out when Kerry will know when the soldiers in Iraq can start coming home. Bush was pretty clear on that. Also, who runs our country? The President or some global test. Would you sell Iran nuclear fuel? Not me.

I was disappointed too. But - it is a lot easier to be the attacker on that stage and not the one being attacked. Bush looked very tired and irritated. We so many times wonder why he won't fight back - now we see that he does get irritated but holds back for many reasons - not to give out-takes for the dems use, to make the most of his two minute answers, and to sift through all the lies/distortions and pick only those that can be answered with the restraints.

He probably should not have gone on the trip to see the hurricane destruction - but, gee, he is a working man - not like some senators we know.

I like to think that I'm a realist and good predictor of the outcome of political events, and I even admit to usually being on the pessimistic side of such things when I find enough reason to want to speak.

My conclusion is that although Bush could have done much better in the debate, I don't expect to see a huge sea change against Bush.

Kerry smoothly spoke about having some completely insane plans, while Bush occasionally stumbled through the right answer.

The President can do better next time, and improve.

Not smug, angry, as well he should have been considering all of the questions were designed to put him on the defensive, and that smug ass next to him was calling him a liar constantly.

I took the President's expression as one of irritation at the amount of Bravo Sierra Kerry was putting out. He would have been better off with a poker face, but factually Bush was ahead. Kerry won the beauty contest, but with that much Botox it is easier to be more deadpan.

I couldn't disagree with you more.

Since you are so critical of the man that we know is honest and is truly trying to protect this country, would you mind giving an explanation of what Kerry said or proposed that would make anyone choose him over Bush for the war on terror or homeland security?

That was the debate topic and I'd guess that the much touted "undecideds" tuned in to hear Kerry's plan. What was it? We know the president's.

What exactly caused Bush to place his head on that platter? Did I miss something?

Hey - I think everyone agrees Bush wasn't up to his normal speed - but don't make a federal case here - on just one debate. I'm hurting for Bush - and have already made sure one more person will be voting in Nov. in this election. That was my response to tonight - I also intend to get cash(what I can spare) to those in need of support -

It's okay to moan, I'm doing it - but get out and take that extra step to prevent this nation from suffering any more damage from the likes of Kerry and his ilk -

just my thoughts -

Relax brother. Bush isn't known for the philosophical depth of his answers. This is nothing new, yet he still leads in the polls. I don't see any change occurring.

With all due respect, you and I must have watched different debates. I honestly did not see any of this in the same way you did. Bush was at a decided disadvantage tonight and did exceptionally well considering the circumstances. It was clear that the night was stacked to place Bush on the defensive. There was little opportunity for him to do much more.

The President had to spend the entire debate defending his policies and his actions over the last 4 years. Kerry did not have to defend anything. He was not asked asked to defend his senate record or anything else of any significance other than a few words or opinions.

Kerry had the luxury of being nothing more than an attack dog on George Bush's life and hard work over his last term....practically all of which he spent engaged in dealing with a war that was thrust upon us after our nation was attacked. With the benefit of hindsight, it sure is easy to sound like an expert on everything. Bush had to make decisions without the benefit of any road maps. He developed his own doctrine and struck out to fight an enemy without a country and engage in a warfare unlike any we've ever experienced.

In contrast, I think Kerry's petty criticism made him look small up against a real leader even if the majority give a win on the technicals to John. After watching, I did not change my opinion and I doubt America did either. I still give Kerry an A+ at criticizing war and I still give George Bush an A+ at leading us in war. In the end, which do you think means more? I think most of those who watched know the answer.
