Have they started a new season of Reno 911, yet?

In their world, any publicity is good publicity.

I think that being portrayed in a cartoon where you get shoved up a gay dude's tailpipe like a gerbil pushes the limits of that theory.

If they depicted, say, Mark Morford being shoved up Mr.Slave's disposal unit, do you think he would take it as bad publicity?

Nah, Morfie would be humming "Stairway to Heaven" the entire time.

Lately, I'm enjoying Reno 911 as much as South Park.

There was a Reno 911 a few weeks ago (probably a repeat) with Kenny Rogers doing a book signing and being "protected" by the deputies. I thought I was going to bust a gut laughing. There was also one with a British officer in some kind of exchange program that was hilarious.

Monday's episode was the worst ever. A 30-minute campaign commercial for fetal research, it totally forgot that South Park is supposed to be a comedy. Instead, we got long-winded pontification about how wonderful stem-cell research is.

Oh, yes, it is so daring and courageous to use the phrase "aborted fetuses (or feti)" over and over again. Not.

As often, I couldn't tell whether the greatest impact will be to promote fetal research, or to mock it, but I really don't care. The point is that the episode was about as unfunny as Chicago Hope.

Are you talking about the episode with Christopher Reeves?

If so you totally missed the point of the episode and the devestating humor used against Reeves.

Was that the Reeves episode?

If it was you got the point ass backwards.

Umm...Wouldn't really call a fetus-sucking fiend a great spokesman for fetal stem-cell research. Check that security setting on your irony filter! ;)

Was it the Reeves episode or the one where Cartman uses fetal cells to clone a Shakey's?

Sigh. Reload, then reply. That way you won't ask the same question for the fourth time...

No, it wasn't the Reeves episode... I think it was the atonement Viacom made them do for the Reeves episode. (The Reeves episode was way over the line, but FUNNNYYY!!)

I think in the end, they demonstrated that the fetal stem-cell movement is driven by profit as much as by human concern. Obseve that Cartman was just trying to use them for his personal gain all along, and apparently had crocodile tears for Kenny.

I can only hope Cartman's Gift is as good as his Power of Invisibility!

I thought Cartman's power was having lots of powers.
