There used to be a place called "Herfy's" in Everett, Washington, whose logo was a giant Hereford cow head. Those suckers would melt in one's mouth. I've been told Herfy's has long since shut down, since the 70's when I used to drive up there from Seattle.
I detect a bit of sarcasm there. Romeo would not be a good comparison. He chased Juliet around a bit then drinks the poison and dies. Count me out of that scenerio.
Ah, but "a romeo" as known in the time of Elizabethan Age and used as a common noun? That was me when I was a younger man. The shameful things I did.
I like Checkers's fries because the coating and seasoning makes them crunchy and tasty.
My mother's homemade fries taste best to me, but I like KFC's thick potato wedge fries too. The crisp fries the Israelis stuff in their falafel sandwiches are delicious.
Braum's
McDonald's...back in the 70's
Same place?
Herfy's

No, this place was right near the Highway 2 interchange. A friend of mine swooped by there a few years ago, and Herfy's had disappeared, he told me. Could have moved, though.
Still, best french fries I've ever, ever had, including my mother's.
When I drive by it tonight I'll check for the cow head. It might have moved, or been one of two in business.
I wish Chick Fil-A would sell their breakfast biscuits all day long. Better sausage biscuits than any other chain, and of course, the chicken ones are excellent.
Their lemonade's good, too.
I have to admit to liking McD's and In-Out, although they differ quite a bit.
Benita Fritas. They cooked them Belgium style. Twice fried & served in a cone with a choice of 2 dipping sauces. My fave was the garlic arugula aioli.
"I like Checkers's fries because the coating and seasoning makes them crunchy and tasty. "
Takes all kind of people, I guess...
True french fry connes...conesse...connessiur...experts know that coating a fry with anything before cooking it is as obscene as coating a fine steak in ketchup...
Okey Doke. Please let me know what you find out.
Bob's Steak House and Grill. Steak Fries dipped in ranch dressing.
Sadly, Benita's Fritas closed several years ago.
I love McDonald's fries and also Steak-N-Shake fries.
On our fishing Canadian fishing trips I have to cook them at least 3 of the 7 evening meals.
We usually go through 50 pounds of potatoes for the 6 of us.
Of course, quite a few get used in the potato gun.
Checkers and Bojangles.
Best fries I ever had...Red potatoes I cut and cooked myself in EVOO. And sprinkled with Johnnys seasoning salt when done.
