What first caught my attention (other than the apparent violation of the laws of thermodynamics – even if the motor did run on static electricity) was the use of a 6 volt car battery. How long has it been since cars had 6 volt systems? 60 years?
Then I read this – "Mr. Gray has promised delivery of his EMA motor by March of 1974 and we'll get our car on the road shortly afterwards."
I went to the link and found that the article was published in 1973.

I remember when we had a perpetual motion car. My dad was so proud. Then a goverment agent, (dressed in black, wearing sunglasses and in company of an Arab Sheik) came to our house, beat up my dad, took the car and forces a large, gas guzzeling Chrysler on us! >

Me too. But, I built my first house in 1989, for $52 a square foot, including the lot. I build my fourth home two years ago, for $135 a square foot, and that house is currently worth about twice what I paid for it...or, about $270 a square foot.

The price of gas is rough as a cob. But it affects my life one hell of a lot less than the price of a home. It might cost me $6 a day to drive my truck. But, it costs me about $70 a day to own my house.

At first, while reading, I was sure it originated either from the Onion, or from an old archived National Lampoon issue.
