Say what you want. Any "religion" that oppresses its women is garbage.

We used to have a Muslim Freeper here. HE got sick of this BS and left. Poor guy. Good luck to your friend and hope he sticks around for the long haul.

Actually I do know that. Muslims revere Jesus as a prophet and a man. Christians believe that Jesus is God incarnate. They may know about a god, but God is far from them since the only way to God is through the person and work of Jesus the Christ. I know that moslems believe that by being a good person they will get into heaven. Christians do not believe this. Christians believe that there are no good people, that all people are worthy of condemnation and that Jesus's propitiary work on the cross (which moslems do NOT accept as being Jesus but rather Judas) is the sacrificial death which allows [only] those who accept it as a gift into heaven. An Old Testament foreshadowing of this is seen in the Passover. Also in ISSAC (not Ishmael) when Abraham recognizes that "God Himself will provide the sacrifice."

So you see, I do know a lot about your religion and I reject it as being wholly false.

I have read the Koran and learned quite a bit about the life of Mohammad. I don't see how it can be credibly interpreted in any other way than a permanent call to war against all non-Muslims everywhere.

Who threatens to kill your family? Terrorists or your average Muslim on the street?

As for me and my family, it was an average moslem, somewhere between the ages of 40 and 50 probably, who did threaten me and my children and my husband with a machine gun as we were dropping off another family (which was moslem) at their destination. It did not happen in the US but it happened on December 19, 2001 in a country in SE Asia.

I find your comparison of a free American desiring to live in liberty to a barbaric savage trying to impose a religious tyranny on the entire world to be in willful ignorance of, or perhaps merely with disdain for, the relative virtue in each of those ways of life.

No matter how much a barbaric savage believes his way of life is superior to ours, it isn't going to be, and we should not have to deal with him only on the basis of accepting his claim of superiority over us.

what they did to everyone inside Jerusalem in the Crusades

It is to laugh. The Crusades were not a bunch of Christians that just suddenly ran amuck to kill innocent people. It was a response to Islamic terrorism in Israel and other parts of the mid-east. Read the histories which lead up to the Crusade, not just the current propaganda.

Would of come as a surprise to several of my friends. They don't seem oppressed or anything. And it's not like they can't change or reform. What's happening in the MidEast right now is going to irreversibly weaken the Islamofascist cause and lead to the ultimate reformation and rejection of the more virulent of their teachings.

Unless some maniacs f**K it up by confirming every lie ever uttered by the OSama lovers and liberals. Something like, oh I don't know: "this is a war between the world and Islam", "nuke 'em til they glow and shoot them in the dark", various insults against Mohammed or Allah.

What better way to win the WOT than to alienate everyone who could poentially be our ally?

What better way to affirm our commitment to freedom than deporting people because they worship a certain religion?

What better way to affirm Christian love by lumping an entire group of people as terrorists and advocating their destruction?

Makes me feel warm, fuzzy, and patriotic.

I thank God that those in charge have more sense than that.

Oh yeah, they are all savages. That's why they are helping us root out the Islamofascists, serving in our militaries, and decapitated me when I talk to them.

The Christian comparison means nothing to me.
I don't use any label to worship God.
Are you denying that women are oppressed in countries that are predominately Islamic?

No. DOesn't mena these countries can't be fixed or Islam can't be reformed.

With the mindset being used might as well never trust Japan and Britain. Once an enemy, always one.

I still kind of feel that way about Japan actually.
Great Britian I've forgiven since they are our parent nation as well as our most loyal military ally.

Your unseriousness is not impressive. There are dozens of Muslim countries yet not one of them joined us in this war without having to be bribed or threatened. The most modern Muslim country - an alleged NATO ally, Turkey - extorted $50 billion from us then stabbed us in the back. Where Muslim countries do help us, not one except Turkey actually has a government that represents their people. When the people of the Muslim nations are consulted, vast majorities say they are on the terrorists' side.

The secularized, modern Muslims that are scattered about are trapped in the same wishful thinking that liberals (and you, apparently) are: that the truth of Islam is not what it really is, a declaration of war on all others.

Do you really need a list of Koran and Hadith quotes that make this clear? That the greater jihad is smiting the necks of the unbeliever, not the conquering of your own personal passions?

They are Goat humpers who only want to kill unbelievers. That is the impression they want to give to the world and that is the impression we take with us. If they want a different impression they should try to limit the amount of heads they cut off, the number of suicide bombers they unleash, the number of "honor" killings they perform in any given year.

The last paragraph was sarcasm, in case you didn't notice.

If the muslims really want respect for their religion they should denounce any and all terrorists who kill people in the name of islam, AND they should re-write many passages in the koran that call for killing infidels or making them slaves. This would help considerably, otherwise they will remain goat humping, head choppers to most Americans.

Whats the use? They fight for us in the MIdEast, demonstrated against terror, wrote editorials, and generally stay put and not kill people. But it's all just Taqqiya. Nothing is ever real from them. One billion people are constantly lying, just waiting for the opportunity to rise up and implement the Umma.

They shouldn't have to prove anything just like millions of people the world over don't have to go on a daily parade otherwise they are terrorist sympathizers. They are human like the rest of us. There is no such thing as groupcrime. That's BS invented by liberls to justify anti-Americanism and Balkanization politics. Funny how often conservatives embrace the very ideals and tactics they abhor when it suits them.

Well things change. That's life. We preserve the good and throw out the bad. Adn daily, millions of Muslims in the MidEast are helping making their region a better place.

"Maybe it's like the Dead Sea Scrolls and some power hungry Arabs hid the real Koran and published a fake one."

What? You think this "jihad" stuff is new?!? The *history* of Islam is quite clear.

Just because their governments suck doesn't mean that the people who live in them do. See Germany and Canada. We are getting a long much better with PM Harper and Merkel.

I don't care what ISlam is. Maybe it's all BS and maybe it isn't. I care about how its followers should be treated which is just like any other human. If they just stay put and leave us alone, we should od the same. IF they go around killing people, we kill them. There are good Muslims and bad. Take this on a case by case basis.
