NAW! or should I say NAU! No way. The American people would never go for such a union. The only way it could happen would be by forcing it on the American people, maybe by somehow getting half of all Mexicans into the US by some unfathomable means, in which case it wouldn’t matter much whether we merged or not. After that, the rest would indeed be easy. But no American President would ever try such a connivingly traitorous thing.
Oh, wait...
Thanks for the ping.
At one time I had the utmost respect and trust for Sam Nunn.No more now. To be quite honest most of these old geezers need to stay in their nursing homes.
It looks like Sam Nunn is head honcho of CSIS which get 9% of its funding from the government and 28% funding from corporations. Sam Nunn was a big backer of free trade. So this pretty well tells me that his interest is in the dollar and not the sovereignty of the U.S. I don’t trust a one of those dudes mentioned. We need to do some emailing to our senators and representatives.
Did you catch that we need to "improve" labor mobility? They are going to keep coming. We need to organize, stay organized, give beyond little $25 and $100 contributions. If our forefathers pledged their lives, fortunes and sacred honor can't we at least pledge a significant portion of just our fortunes? How about instead of lives a few days a year protesting or attending meetings?

As you'll see from a link below, the North American Union topic is par-and-parcel of the debate on immigration; thus my directing you to this thread.

erm, on Rush's show, Roger Hedgecock went into great detail about this last week. Where were you? And Savage? Come on- he's been the main guy on the immigration debate for years now. I can't imagine him not mentioning this. (Personally, I don't listen to him much because he's on so late.)
Some of you can laugh at the fact this particular article came out in WND....but this info has been and is in dozens of other places...just go on Search and type in SPP or North American Union.....
In an earlier post someone mentioned if this is so important why havn't Rush etc. been talking about it....PLEASE, for many months he and others poopooed concerns about ILLEGAL immigration ...I remember being so damned disgusted at some of his dismissive comments at the time.Only after the public became outraged over the situation did he and other jump on the band wagon. I do believe this evil plan will happen,.. over the years the powers that be have worked to get their ducks all in a row and as for assuming that the Congress won't go along with such a traitorous plan...give me a break, you give that bunch far too much credit...they are for the most part a bunch of corrupt, greedy souls with alliance only to their own power and corruption....and as for President Bush...at this stage of the game, I put nothing past him when it comes to pushing his agenda, and this sure is it....you know, as long as he's in office, he has the power of Executive Order...wouldn't surprise me at all if he signed some version of what got shot down a couple of weeks ago and tell the American Citizen's to go pound sand. This comment isn't directed especially at you, but for all those who refuse to take this thing seriously...
Good on you, girl...thanks for that one.

President Bush to Attend North American Leaders' Summit in Canada
"President Bush will travel to Montebello, Quebec, Canada to meet with Prime Minister Stephen Harper of Canada and President Felipe Calderon of Mexico at the North American Leaders' Summit on August 20-21, 2007. The leaders will review progress and continued cooperation under the Security and Prosperity Partnership, as well as discuss hemispheric and global issues."
Yes, and while it’s not something I jump for joy about, he’s never put his name on a CFR publication and seems about as much a “member” as I am of the RNC. Member-in-name only.
Even if he were higher up, at worst, I’d consider it something to keep an eye on, but not a deal-killer.
Nobody denies the SPP exists.
The debate is on it’s purpose and expanse.
You're kidding, right?
It’s right here:
http://www.spp.gov/myths_vs_facts.asp
It’s the “myths vs. facts” section that is in dispute. If people don’t even realize it exists, then it’s not hard to find.
Because the government would never lie to us...right Betty?
There’s a big difference though.
The immigration bill was disputed publicly on the MSM and talk radio. The SPP, not so much.
While I don’t think the SPP is any sort of wonderful organization, I also don’t see any grand conspiracy at work. I just don’t think it could be kept secret (save for the blogosphere) if it were true - talk radio would get on it and hardcore if there were really that much to it.
You’re very polite, so I looked at your profile. My God...I have shoes older than you! :-)
Well, I turn 30 next month...and there are 2 interns here under 20. I feel old in my office!
Bump for later read.
