Owen Wilson hospitalized (alleged attempted suicide)
Variety via Drudge Report ^ | August 26, 2007 | not specified

Actor Owen Wilson was taken to a hospital in Santa Monica, Calif., Sunday, according to a story Drudge Report linked to on Sunday.

According to the report, Wilson was transported to St. John's Hospital. Citing sources, The National Enquirer and Star magazine said the star of "Wedding Crashers" and "Starsky & Hutch" had cut his left wrist and taken an undetermined amount of pills.

He was found by a family member who called for help.

Santa Monica police confirmed only that the actor had been taken to a hospital, TMZ.com reported.

"On Sunday Aug. 26. 2007 at 12:10 pm officers from the Santa Monica Police Department responded to a medical assistance call from the Santa Monica Fire Department," the police said in a news release. "The person was transported to a local hospital where they are being treated."

Citing medical privacy laws, the police did not release any further information.

The Enquirer said Wilson's wrist was stitched and bandaged at the hospital, and that Wilson would "be detoxed."

“Should I be sad?”

I don’t know. That’s up to you I guess.

I think any kind of mass grave where innocent fathers and sons are shot and thrown in is sad no matter who they are.

The more you learn about this particular area of the world, the more you see that the various groups involved (Serbs, Croats, muslims) have taken their turns committing these crimes against each other.
An endless cycle of revenge for past deeds.

The ones who usually wind up paying are the innocent villagers trying to scrape by on their little farm.

I swear every one in Hollywood goes to the same plastic surgeon because they all have the exact same nose.

Well, not everybody!

I sit corrected. ;^)

I remember when he used to be a attractive young man. I guess that makes me old.

you’re right

Dallas

kicked out of St Marks prep school...Preston road, north dallas

very posh

just read up on a bio....dad was PBS executive.....well that explains too much

just shows when to me it seems like a fella has the world by the tail with cash, fame, travel, all the fine women one coulda handle at one time

and is really despondent enough to try to either take their own life or pretend to for attention

what a waste of opportunities

when I younger I led a bit of Life of Reilly and had too much money and the various lusts that go with youth and I was damned happy. Every day was an adventure and exciting.

Sorry it isn’t that way for this boy.

I didn’t even know about this until it was mentioned on the local news THIS morning. My 3 year old has been watching Cars all weekend long. I hope Mr. Wilson comes to terms with whatever demons are plaguing him. I really like his acting (Not just in Cars, btw. :-)) and would hate to not have him around.

I remember too since the first appearance of the Jackson Five, he was a cute kid. And just fine looking back in the day ‘in his own skin’ vs. whatever he did to lighten his skin.

Talented people are not typical. I was saddened to hear about it tonight, but having enjoyed watching him act with Jackie Chan, Eddie Murphie, and in other shows, I can see where he’s deeply introspective about human emotions.

Muslims in mass graves over Kosovo? Exaggerated hype to talk up bombing our fellow Christians in Serbia. Not kidding you. We supported terrorists from Albania over Serb Christians. Probably the most unrighteous war we ever fought. If anyone deserves reparations, its the Serbs.
