If Democrats Had Any Brains, They'd Be Republicans

Posted on 10/05/2007 6:46:56 AM PDT by 7thson

Yesterday, after work, I purchased If Democrats Had Any Brains, They'd Be Republicans by Ann Coulter and My Grandfather's Son by Justice Clarence Thomas. First, I stopped by a Borders because I was looking for a book that would help me start up and create a newsletter/paper. My local rag is always printing lib crap and the Republican Party in Calvert County is weak. I am looking into starting up a newsletter/paper that will promote conservative principles and ideas. All the books I found on their computer system concerning this subject I would have to order, so I believe I will order what I want through Amazon. Anyway, on the way out, I looked around for the two books above and could not find them. However, Bill Clinton's book was prominantly displayed everywhere.

This is in Pentagon City in Arlington, so I walk over to the Costco and they have both books. When paying for them, the cashier rung it up without comment. However, the person helping the cashier - putting the purchased items back in the cart - read the title of the book and became somewhat upset.

I just laughed. Right now on Amazon, Thomas's book is number 1 and Coulter's is number 6.

This morning of Fox she disappointed me. When asked about the Republican hopefuls she mentioned Hunter but said in the same breath he doesn’t stand a real chance of winning (???). Yeah maybe so, but it saddens me to hear her say it on national tv. Then next she said that Rudy or Romney will be the nominee. I think I heard her say she did say that she likes Hillary’s social stance more than Rudy’s. That goes along with my belief electing Rudy is the same as electing Comrade Clinton.

Not one word about Fred and dissing Hunter, what gives? Her stock went down a few points.

So run down the one’s we need and bolster the one’s we don’t that’s a good tactic.

Hopefully Hunter will be picked as VP by whoever wins. While I agree he doesnt seem to have a chance at the nomination, she should have just said nothing. Just that he was her choice and left it at that. Defense Secretary would also be good. And Tancredo at homeland security to get the rest of the fence built that Chertoff is trying to squash.

I’d like to see Hunter as VP to Fred or Sec Def and gets J.C. Watts as VP and groom either one for the future.

While I disagree with her, except for Fred, the polls support her. I look at these things as simply her opinion and she has stood with Republicans enough that I have no problem giving her that. I think she actually favors Duncan but in all honesty he hasn’t set the voters on fire. I would love to see Duncan as the nominee along with several others I would have no problem with. The only thing I have a problem with is so called Republicans who will sit out the election if they don’t get their way.

She of all people should know the only poll that count is in November ( March if you think primary ) how many times was Gore and Jerry ahead of GW?

Ann should know the fight isn’t over until polls close and to dismiss a true conservative and not mention the other only good choice this early in the process is poor judgment.

Sorry, I don't get the appeal of a woman who talks and dresses like the elites she claims to shun, dates them, and speaks at their universities and on their talk shows.

After watching Justice Thomas on 60 Minutes, I can't say I'm terribly impressed with him, either.

But, 'tis just my opinion. Grain of salt.

Ann Coulter tells it like she sees it. While she irritates me every once in a while I consider her to a godsend for the Republican party. You need to bare in mind that first a foremost she wants to sell books. If she can take down a Democrat ever once in a while so much the better.

While I typically buy from Amazon, I miss out on the fun of buying conservative books from liberal loser clerks at Borders.
