Sorry about being gone all day yesterday. I was at the VA hospital where a team of doctors and cardiovascular surgeons were examining my legs and trying to come up with a treatment plan for the circulatory problem I've been fighting for the last several years. The good news is they think they can save my legs! Hurrah!

And I will probably be out most of today too. I'm going back to the VA this morning for some sonogram tests. More on that on another thread later. By the way, I was really impressed with the professionalism, courtesy, concern, care and respect the VA staff gives to our veterans. These people are great!

Prayers for our FR Founder. I’m a little late, but it’s Jim’s fault for creating this conversation that is so big and so constant that I didn’t notice my “pings.”

The Lord is so good, I’m hoping for pleasant tingles and gentle warmth in your toes, Jim. (And I’ll share the motto I adopted when my mother was so sick: If that which doesn’t kill us makes us stronger, I’d rather lift weights!)

Jim, of course I sent a prayer on another thread earlier today, but then I got tied up with duties. Mama_Bear pinged me to this prayer thread and I noticed it right at supper time. Finally I have time to stop and storm the gates of heaven for you.

Since I cannot think of any prayer sweeter or more effective than the one that Kitty Mittens composed, I am now joining with her in agreement with every word. Lord, hear our prayer:

Our Merciful Father, we Love You with All of our Hearts. Thank You for Hearing and Answering All our Prayers. We Lift Up Your Son Jim, Asking for Healing through Jesus' Grace. O You Who are Love, Please Send Your Restoring Touch. Please Grant the Physicians Your Own Wisdom and Mind. Please Lead them to the Treatment that will be Best. Our Loving Savior, we Lift our Eyes to Thee. Please, our Beloved, we Ask for Healing through Your Name. May Your Mercies Fall Like a Gentle Spring Rain. I also am allergic to anything “cillin”. Just will not respond positively to it, and then found out I was also allergic to neomyacin since I also broke out from the neosporin ointment that they tried to treat me with.

I pray and hope that the sulfa drugs or something newer that they give you will take ahold and you will find healing to this long-living and soon to die infection.
